Hi Sebastian, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born in New Jersey and raised in South Florida, where I developed an entrepreneurial mindset at a young age. Growing up around the water, I spent years working in the boating industry, eventually becoming a dock master, boat captain, and working in marine construction and custom boat rebuilding. Those experiences taught me the value of hard work, customer service, and problem-solving.
I attended Florida Atlantic University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a 3.7 GPA while balancing work and professional responsibilities. Throughout my early career, I explored several industries, including real estate, hospitality, marine operations, and insurance. Each role helped me develop skills in communication, sales, leadership, and business development.
Today, I work in financial services and insurance, specializing in helping individuals, families, business owners, medical professionals, and government employees protect what they’ve built and prepare for the future. I hold a Florida 2-15 Life, Health, and Annuities License and work with clients on disability insurance, life insurance, retirement planning, wealth preservation, and employee benefits. I am affiliated with NPC Financial, one of South Florida’s longest-standing financial planning firms, where we focus on providing guidance without charging financial planning fees.
Outside of my professional career, I remain passionate about entrepreneurship and investing. I have successfully rebuilt and sold custom boats, managed real estate opportunities, and continuously pursue education in financial planning and personal development. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and French, which allows me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
What drives me most is helping people navigate important financial decisions with confidence. Whether someone is planning for retirement, protecting their family, or building long-term wealth, I believe financial education and honest guidance can make a lasting impact. My journey has never followed a traditional path, but every experience—from working on docks and rebuilding boats to advising clients on their financial futures—has contributed to the person and professional I am today.
I am still early in my career, but my goal remains the same: continue growing, continue learning, and create opportunities that positively impact the lives of the people and communities I serve.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has definitely not been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs and professionals, my journey has been filled with setbacks, uncertainty, and lessons learned the hard way.
One of my biggest challenges has been building a career in highly competitive industries while still being relatively young. Whether it was real estate, insurance, financial services, or running my own business ventures, I often had to earn credibility before people were willing to trust me. Learning how to overcome rejection and continue moving forward after hearing “no” hundreds of times was one of the most valuable lessons of my career.
There were also challenges that came with entrepreneurship itself. Building a business means there is no guaranteed paycheck, no set path, and no one else responsible for your success. I’ve invested significant time, money, and energy into projects that didn’t always go as planned. From market changes and difficult economic conditions to deals falling through at the last minute, I’ve experienced many of the ups and downs that come with business ownership.
On a personal level, I’ve faced physical setbacks that tested my resilience. I underwent ACL surgery and have dealt with injuries that required significant recovery time. More recently, I experienced an accident that resulted in a serious foot injury. While these challenges were difficult, they gave me a firsthand understanding of how quickly life can change and how an unexpected injury can impact someone’s income, finances, career, and family.
Rather than discouraging me, these experiences strengthened my belief in the importance of insurance and financial planning. They reinforced why disability insurance, life insurance, and proper financial protection are so important. Having personally experienced the uncertainty that comes with injury and recovery, I understand the value of being prepared before a crisis occurs. These experiences have allowed me to connect with clients on a deeper level because I am speaking not only from professional knowledge but also from personal experience.
Perhaps the greatest challenge has been learning to adapt. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in multiple industries—from marine operations and custom boat building to real estate and financial services. Every transition required learning new skills, building new relationships, and stepping outside my comfort zone. While those changes were difficult at times, they ultimately helped me become more versatile, resourceful, and prepared for future opportunities.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change the challenges I’ve faced. Every obstacle taught me perseverance, discipline, humility, and the importance of continuous growth. The setbacks that once seemed like roadblocks ultimately became opportunities to learn, improve, and come back stronger. Today, I view those experiences as a major reason for my success. They shaped not only the professional I am today but also my passion for helping others protect themselves, their families, and their futures.

What has made the difference is the ability to keep moving forward, adapt to changing circumstances, and continue pursuing my goals regardless of the obstacles in front of me.
Resilience has allowed me to transition across industries, from marine operations and custom boat building to real estate, insurance, and financial services. It has helped me overcome the skepticism that often comes with being a young professional in competitive industries and has taught me how to earn trust through hard work, consistency, and results.
My personal experiences have reinforced this mindset. The most successful people are not necessarily the smartest or most talented—they are often the ones willing to keep learning, improving, and adapting when circumstances change. I have always approached challenges as opportunities to grow rather than reasons to quit.

It has allowed me to overcome obstacles, build meaningful relationships, pursue entrepreneurial opportunities, and help others navigate some of the most important financial decisions they will ever make. It is the quality that has had the greatest impact on my success, and it continues to guide me every day.
