Inspiring Conversations with Valeria Sol Lopez of Val your content gal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Valeria Sol Lopez.

Hi Valeria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always knew I was meant to build something of my own. I never knew exactly what it would be, but I knew it would live somewhere in creativity. Whether that meant capturing candid moments, fashion, luxury experiences, or inspiring others through storytelling, I always believed that one day when the timing was right, the lightbulb would click.

That moment happened before my wedding in October 2023.

My husband and I were married in Key Biscayne overlooking the Miami skyline on a beautiful golden blue evening beside the ocean, a place deeply connected to my heart because it was also my mother’s favorite place. The ocean always felt sacred to us. The day before I was born she spent it at the beach and growing up she called me “pecesito,” which means “little fish.”

My mother passed away the year before my wedding, the same year I got engaged. Losing her changed me profoundly. She was everything to me. An incredible mother, entrepreneur, creative soul and true Cuban Miami woman. She owned one of the early salons in Doral and built it with her own hands. Hair styling, fashion, gardening, cooking, painting, music. Creativity lived in everything she touched.

More importantly, she taught me how to move through life. Work hard, care deeply for people, remain humble, and keep going no matter what life places in front of you.

I followed another passion of mine and became a nurse, eventually working my way to becoming a critical care nurse practitioner. Helping people has always been part of who I am.

While planning my wedding alongside my mother during her illness, I hired a wedding planner who offered something I had never heard of before, behind the scenes wedding content creation.

I immediately became fascinated.

As I researched more, I realized something that changed everything. I had already been doing this my entire life.

I was always the daughter, friend, or family member taking photos and videos, documenting moments people did not realize they would later cherish. My siblings and friends joked that I was always recording something. What once felt like an annoyance became something we treasure deeply today. My siblings now thank me because all of those videos and photos became memories we never knew would last a lifetime. Because I was always capturing moments, we now have endless photos and videos of my mom that we can return to forever.

I loved social media from the early MySpace days because I saw it as something bigger. A place where people connect, inspire one another, and tell stories.

For my mother’s generation businesses grew through word of mouth. Before that newspapers and television shaped visibility. Today storytelling and connection live online.

After my wedding I told myself I would eventually explore content creation.

Life had other plans.

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Japan where we happily conceived our son. Motherhood arrived and my focus shifted back fully into healthcare and family life.

But during maternity leave something pulled me back toward creativity.

With encouragement from my sister who helped come up with my business name, and inspired by the wedding planner who unknowingly helped me discover what I had always been, I opened my LLC and Instagram, Val Your Content Gal.

What began as a creative outlet quickly became something much bigger.

Today I still help people, just in a different way.

As a nurse practitioner I care for people through health. Through my business I preserve moments people never want to forget. I capture the quiet moments in between, the behind the scenes memories, and the celebrations that become part of someone’s story forever.

In building this business I realized something beautiful.

I was always meant to do both.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road, but I think that is true for building anything meaningful. This industry has a beautiful way of building you while also breaking you at times. It teaches resilience very quickly.

One of the biggest things I have learned is that the phrase “community over competition” is often preached more than it is practiced. There are incredible people in this industry who genuinely want to see others win, but there are also moments that challenge you. Moments that force you to build confidence in yourself and your work without relying on outside validation.

Building this business took a tremendous amount of networking, sponsoring events, investing back into my business, and balancing it all while continuing my career as a nurse practitioner, which for a long time remained my sole source of income. It meant juggling hospital life, building a business from the ground up, being present as a wife, and constantly striving to be the best mother I can be.

There were nights caring for patients and mornings building a dream. There were moments of self doubt and moments where I questioned if I was doing enough. As a mother especially, there are times when building something for yourself can make you question if taking time to grow a business somehow makes you less present. You ask yourself difficult questions. Am I giving enough? Am I doing enough? Am I balancing this the right way?

I think many parents building businesses quietly carry that guilt.

What I continue reminding myself is that building something meaningful for your children is also a form of love. The late nights, the networking, the sacrifices, the hours spent growing something from nothing are not moments taken away from them. They are moments invested into creating something that one day can become part of their future, something built through belief and perseverance.

What helped me continue moving forward was constant self reflection and learning to stop comparing myself to others. Creativity looks different on everyone. Your gift will never look exactly like someone else’s and that is what makes it valuable.

One thing I remind myself often is to create before you consume. It is so easy in creative industries to constantly watch what everyone else is doing and slowly lose your own voice in the process. I have learned that growth happens when you trust your instincts, continue learning, stay kind, stay professional, and keep showing up.

Today what started as a side business has become something far bigger than I ever imagined. The struggles shaped it. They still shape it. And I think they always will.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Val Your Content Gal is a wedding and luxury event content experience centered around preserving moments as they naturally unfold. I specialize in behind the scenes storytelling for weddings, luxury events, brands, and creative vendors through elevated short form content designed to help people relive important moments long after the day ends.

My philosophy has always been simple. Every celebration deserves to be preserved as it unfolds. From the quiet details to the anticipation, emotion, energy, and feeling of a moment, I believe some of the most meaningful memories happen in between.

What sets my brand apart is that I approach content creation through both emotion and experience. As a nurse practitioner, caring for people has always been part of who I am. That naturally carries into my work as a content creator. I do not simply record events. I preserve stories, emotion, and memories that people may not realize matter until years later.

I specialize in wedding content experiences, luxury celebrations, vendor behind the scenes storytelling, and helping brands visually elevate how they present themselves online. I also share fashion inspiration through event style interpretation because every event tells a story, including what we wear to it. Luxury events often come with unique style guides and creative direction, and I love helping others interpret those experiences through fashion and storytelling.

Val Your Content Gal was made for content lovers.

Every experience includes thoughtful planning, elevated content capture using professional mobile and video equipment, quick turnaround times, and a storytelling approach designed to preserve authenticity rather than manufacture moments.

What I am most proud of brand wise is building something that feels personal while still maintaining a luxury experience. I built this business while balancing life as a nurse practitioner, wife, and mother. Seeing Val Your Content Gal evolve from a dream into something people can trust with their most meaningful celebrations has been incredibly rewarding.

More than content, it is an experience.

Relive it tomorrow.

Because some moments are meant to last forever.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I think content creation will continue becoming more personal, connection focused, and experience driven over the next 5 to 10 years. People are craving authenticity more than perfection. They want to feel something. They want to connect with stories, emotions, and experiences that feel real.

I believe luxury event and wedding content will continue evolving beyond simply documenting a day. It will become even more focused on preserving feeling, movement, behind the scenes moments, and the details people may not realize matter until years later. Content is becoming part of memory keeping, storytelling, and legacy building in ways we have never seen before.

I also think fashion and content will continue blending together more than ever. Fashion tells a story before words are ever spoken, and I hope to continue growing not only as a content creator but also as someone who inspires within fashion and luxury spaces through how I tell stories, interpret experiences, and creatively express myself.

More than anything, I hope my journey reminds people that you do not have to fit into one box. I am a nurse practitioner, wife, mother, and entrepreneur. Those roles can exist together.

I want people to know that no matter what role you carry in life, through perseverance, discipline, and believing in yourself, anything is possible. Sometimes the things that make you different become the very thing that sets you apart.
