Today we’d like to introduce you to Peter Kiral.
Hi Peter, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I originally came to the United States from Slovakia as a classical violist, but very quickly, I realized I wanted to build something beyond just performing. While studying and performing in orchestras, I became drawn to the event world, first in Charleston, SC, later in New York City, and now in South Florida. Over time, that passion evolved into Kiral Artists, an event entertainment company focused on live music for high-end events.
What started with me performing at weddings in small duo ensembles slowly grew into managing and producing full entertainment experiences with string quartets, jazz bands, hybrid DJ groups, party bands, and large orchestras. One of the biggest turning points was realizing that clients were not just hiring musicians — they were looking for emotion, energy, and memorable moments that elevate the entire event.
Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to perform at celebrity events, luxury weddings, corporate events, fashion shows, and destination celebrations across the United States, the Bahamas, and Europe. I’ve also expanded into larger productions, such as the Pop String Orchestra, which features 16 or more musicians and combines orchestral performance with modern pop music and contemporary event production.
Over the years, my role evolved far beyond performing. Today, I work as both a performer and creative producer, curating entertainment experiences and acting as a bridge between the talent, the client, and the overall vision of the event. I continue performing as a violist while also directing and producing the entertainment side of the business. I think that balance between artistry and production is what has shaped where I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not. Being an entrepreneur in the event industry comes with a lot of pressure behind the scenes. In our business, there are no second chances — everything happens live and in real time. Whether it’s a wedding, gala, or corporate event, clients expect everything to feel seamless and executed at a very high level, so there is a lot of responsibility involved.
One of the biggest challenges was building credibility and growing the company step by step over many years. This industry is extremely relationship-driven, and reputation means everything. It takes consistency, trust, attention to detail, and a lot of hard work behind the scenes that most people never see.
Over the years, I’ve coordinated entertainment and musicians for close to 3,000 events, and with every event comes a new level of responsibility and expectation. At the same time, those challenges have pushed me to continually grow, improve, and evolve both creatively and professionally as my company continues to expand.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in live music entertainment for high-end weddings, corporate events, fashion events, and destination celebrations. My strongest background is in string ensembles and orchestral music because I grew up surrounded by classical music from an early age. My father is a cello player, and as a child, I used to attend his baroque chamber orchestra concerts with him, so that world always felt very natural to me.
At the same time, I was also heavily influenced by jazz, live bands, and contemporary music. My grandfather was a jazz drummer, conservatory professor, and big band leader. My mother is a rock singer, conductor, and composer, so growing up, I was constantly exposed to completely different styles of music and performance. I also grew up around the European club scene, which gave me a strong appreciation for DJs, house music, and the energy that nightlife and live entertainment can create at events. One of my hobbies in my early 20s was actually sneaking into corporate events with my friend just to experience the atmosphere, production, and entertainment.
What sets me apart is that I truly understand both the musical and production sides of an event. I’m not simply booking talent. I create groups, develop concepts, search for new talent, produce promotional content, and build entertainment experiences from the ground up. Many agencies simply connect musicians with clients, but I approach it much more creatively and personally.
Because I actively perform myself, quality, musicianship, arrangements, stage presence, and overall atmosphere are extremely important to me. At the same time, after nearly two decades in the event industry and years of working closely with planners and clients, I also understand guest experience, timing, logistics, flow, and the overall vision behind an event. My wife is also an event planner, so conversations about design, production, and guest experience are constantly part of our daily life.
I think that the ability to combine both worlds allows me to create entertainment that feels intentional, elevated, and personalized. I get especially excited when working with planners and clients who want something unique rather than repeating the same formula everyone has already seen. I’ve always been drawn to larger and more creative productions. Even my own wedding included nearly 60 musicians performing throughout the celebration because I truly believe live entertainment can completely shape the atmosphere and emotional experience of an event.
One of the things I’m most proud of is being able to bring joy and emotion to so many important moments in people’s lives. Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to provide entertainment for thousands of events, and I never take for granted the trust clients place in us for such meaningful celebrations.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something that surprises people is probably how calm I am during events, especially considering how much pressure can happen behind the scenes. Even during large productions with many moving parts, I rarely get visibly stressed. I think after being part of thousands of events, you naturally learn how to stay focused and solve problems quickly and calmly.
I’m also someone who constantly thinks ahead. In the event world, you always need a Plan B, and usually even a Plan C. I naturally think that way during productions and events, always preparing for different scenarios before they happen.
Outside of music and events, I’ve always been drawn to things involving energy, aesthetics, and performance. I used to be heavily into downhill mountain biking, and today I still enjoy fashion, cars, and go-karting.
