Daily Inspiration: Meet Josie Music

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josie Music.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Music has always been a part of who I am. From an early age, songwriting, singing, and playing guitar became my way of expressing emotions, stories, and life experiences in a deeply personal way.

Like many artists, my journey hasn’t been a straight line. There was a period in my life when music became something more personal and private for me, while I focused on personal growth, new experiences, and major life projects. During that time, I explored different paths, including helicopter flight training and other meaningful adventures that challenged me, inspired me, and helped me evolve as a person.

Eventually, I realized that music was still at the center of who I am. I picked up my guitar again, reorganized my entire repertoire, and returned to songwriting with a completely renewed perspective. Today, I’m back in the recording studio working on a new radio single “ Burning the Map” that will be released this summer, while also continuing the production of my upcoming album as a songwriter, guitarist, and singer and producer.

What makes this chapter of my life so meaningful is that I now create music with more life experience, more authenticity, and a deeper emotional connection to my art. I truly believe that with time, we become a better version of ourselves, and my music reflects that evolution.

For me, music is not only entertainment — it’s a way to connect, heal, inspire, and tell honest stories that people can feel in their hearts.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but I believe the challenges are part of what shaped me both as a person and as an artist.

One of the biggest challenges was going through a period where my artistic journey took a different direction. Life sometimes takes you in unexpected paths, and during that time I had to reconnect with myself, rebuild confidence, and rediscover what truly mattered to me creatively. Continuing to return to songwriting with new life experiences also brought a different perspective and a deeper understanding of who I am as an artist.

Along the way, I also carried personal promises made deep within my heart — promises to continue creating, evolving, and pursuing the dreams that truly define who I am. Some promises stay with us quietly through life and become part of the strength that keeps us moving forward, even during uncertain moments.

Another challenge has been balancing artistic authenticity with the realities of today’s music industry. As an independent artist, there is a lot of work behind the scenes — songwriting, recording, creative direction, promotion, and constantly learning new aspects of the business. It requires persistence, discipline, and faith in your vision.

At the same time, those experiences also became my greatest source of inspiration. The life experiences, personal growth, and even the difficult moments gave more depth and honesty to my songwriting. I think my music today is stronger because it comes from a more mature and authentic place.

In many ways, the road hasn’t always been easy, but every chapter taught me something valuable and brought me closer to the artist I was meant to become.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and recording artist currently working on the release of a new radio single and the production of my upcoming album.

My music is deeply rooted in emotion, storytelling, freedom, and life experience. I write from real moments, real emotions, and personal transformation. Over the years, my artistic direction has evolved into something much more authentic and meaningful, blending strength and vulnerability in a very honest way.

What I specialize in most is creating music that carries emotion, depth, and sincerity. My focus is on crafting songs where lyrics, melodies, and atmosphere work together to create a strong emotional connection and a sense of truth within each piece.

After having a # 1 radio hit earlier in my career, there were several years where music became something more personal and intimate for me, while life experiences continued to shape my artistic voice and perspective.
During that time, I experienced important personal growth and life experiences that profoundly shaped me as both a person and an artist. When I came back to songwriting, I did so with greater maturity, stronger purpose, and a deeper artistic voice.

I believe what sets me apart is authenticity. I don’t try to follow trends or create a manufactured image. I simply create honest music that comes from lived experience and genuine emotion. That approach defines my artistic identity.

Today, I feel more inspired than ever as I continue building this new chapter of my career and preparing to share new music with the world soon.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I have been coming in and out of Florida for about fifteen years now, and over time it has always represented a place of inspiration and creative energy for me.

What I like most about the city is the lifestyle and the sense of opportunity it offers. There is a certain openness, a dynamic rhythm, and a diversity that makes it feel like anything is possible. It’s a place where I feel motivated, inspired, and where I would love to continue investing my creative time and energy in the years ahead.
For me, Florida has often felt like a place where life flows more easily and where there is space to build, create, and evolve both personally and artistically.

Rather than focusing on dislikes, I would say that every city has its own challenges, but what stands out to me here is mainly the contrast between inspiration, opportunity, and the fast pace of life.
