Today we’d like to introduce you to Allen Benatar.
Hi Allen, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started playing drums when I was around six or seven years old after getting involved in school plays and local music programs. Music immediately became a huge part of my life, and by the time I was 15, I was already playing my first real live shows with local bands. What started as a childhood passion quickly turned into years of performing, touring, and building a career as a professional drummer.
Over the years, I continued touring and performing with numerous bands across the rock, heavy metal, pop/hip-hop scenes, constantly developing as both a musician and live performer. Around 2014, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting while continuing to play music professionally. Since then, I’ve continued touring, recording, and working with incredible musicians, including performing alongside legendary guitarists such as Yngwie Malmsteen.
Outside of music, I also founded PURE ESSENCE Pheromone Oils, combining my passion for branding, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Today, I continue balancing music, touring, entertainment, and business while staying connected to the same passion for performing that started when I was a kid behind a drum set.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. The music industry can be unpredictable, and over the years I’ve had to move multiple times, start over with different bands, rebuild connections, and constantly adapt to new situations. Touring and working as a professional drummer is an amazing experience, but it also comes with a lot of challenges, long hours, travel, uncertainty, and the pressure to always stay motivated and creative.
There have definitely been difficult moments along the way, especially when bands split apart, creative differences happen, or relationships within the industry change over time. Unfortunately, that’s just part of working in entertainment and live music. At the same time, those experiences helped me grow both personally and professionally, and I’ve been fortunate to meet some incredible people throughout my career. I’ve built lasting friendships and stayed connected with many of the artists and musicians I’ve worked with over the years.
I also think balancing a lifestyle centered around touring, music, entertainment, and entrepreneurship can be challenging in general. It takes a lot of dedication and understanding from the people around you. But through everything, I’ve always tried to stay positive, make the best of every opportunity, and genuinely enjoy the journey. I think that mindset is a big reason why I’m still passionate about what I do today.

Most of my professional career has been centered around music, live performance, touring, and entertainment, but over the years I also developed a strong passion for fragrance and entrepreneurship, which eventually led me to start PURE ESSENCE Pheromone Oils.
PURE ESSENCE Pheromone Oils is a luxury-inspired pheromone fragrance oil company focused on confidence, attraction, self-expression, and long-lasting scents. Fragrance was always something I personally enjoyed, so getting into the pheromone oil industry happened somewhat unexpectedly, but it quickly turned into a real passion and full-time business. I genuinely enjoy creating products that help people feel more confident, memorable, and good about what they wear every day.
At PURE ESSENCE Pheromone Oils, we focus on high-quality pheromone oils, and designer-inspired scents with an emphasis on strong performance, longevity, affordability, and customer experience. Building the company from the ground up has been one of the things I’m most proud of because it allowed me to combine creativity, branding, marketing, and business into something completely my own.
What sets me apart most is versatility and consistency. Whether it’s music, entertainment, or running a fragrance brand, I’ve always tried to stay creative, adaptable, and passionate about everything I take on. I think people connect with authenticity, and I always try to bring that into both my work and my business.
