Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Yazhbina.
Hi Diana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
DesignLab22 began after COVID, during a time when I suffered tremendously with the unexplainable disconnect I felt from myself. During a time when people were craving connection, a project dedicated to reconnect community back to each other started to evolve. What started as Casa Grace was a project rooted in bringing people together again. Helping people reconnect with themselves with each other and with joy through creativity, play and shared experiences. From there Casa Grace evolved into GuestHouse22, a creative project focused on activation production, merchandising, story telling, and giving new life to ideas, products and spaces.
When the Miami Design District graciously gave us the opportunity to merge these worlds together, our creative team invested their efforts into DesignLab22, a creative studio disguised as a store.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No roads are smoothes. There were seasons of pivots which we leaped through together.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Ive spent many hours, many projects maximizing the experience at hand. DL22 vets all of our clients/projects and then help bring that vision to life, with meaningful intention. We see you. We hear you.
Connecting the emotional meaning behind the idea with the practical steps needed to execute it beautifully – is my passion.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
There is no luck. There is the luxury of taking chances on people and connecting people to people.
