Today we’d like to introduce you to Esther Jules.
Hi Esther, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started cooking at a young age, heavily inspired by my Haitian roots and especially by my mother’s cooking. Watching her create meals with so much love, flavor, and creativity made me fall in love with the experience food can bring. What started as a passion eventually grew into Taste of Tatie LLC, a private chef brand focused on elevated, memorable dining experiences with a personal touch.
Over the years, I’ve built my business through consistency, creativity, and genuinely loving what I do. From intimate dinners to luxury events, I’ve learned that people remember how you make them feel just as much as the food itself. Entrepreneurship hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has helped me grow into a stronger woman, chef, and business owner. I’m proud to be building a brand that represents culture, passion, and creating a life on my own terms.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road. Building Taste of Tatie LLC has come with a lot of long hours, sacrifices, and moments of self-doubt. One of the biggest challenges was learning how to balance being creative while also running the business side of things. As a woman entrepreneur, you wear every hat at first. Chef, marketer, accountant, content creator, customer service… all while still trying to pour into yourself.
There were moments where I questioned myself, especially during slower seasons or difficult personal moments, but I kept showing up. I think that’s what entrepreneurship really teaches you: resilience. Every challenge pushed me to become more confident, disciplined, and intentional about the brand I’m building. Now I look back and realize those obstacles helped shape the woman and business owner I am today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Taste of Tatie LLC is a private chef and catering brand focused on creating elevated dining experiences that still feel warm, personal, and full of soul. I specialize in curated dinners, luxury events, yacht catering, brunches, and culturally inspired cuisine with a modern twist, especially dishes rooted in Haitian culture and flavor.
What sets my brand apart is the experience behind the food. I love blending bold Haitian flavors and traditions with modern presentation to create something that feels both comforting and elevated. As mentioned earlier, a lot of my inspiration comes from my mother’s cooking and the way food brought people together growing up. Haitian culture is a huge part of who I am, so naturally it’s infused into my cooking, my hospitality, and the energy I bring to every table.
I’m most proud of building a brand that reflects creativity, culture, and resilience. From intimate dinners to large celebrations, I’ve grown mostly through relationships, word of mouth, and staying authentic to myself and my vision. I want people to know that Taste of Tatie is more than just food. It’s an experience filled with flavor, culture, passion, and genuine connection
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I would say resilience and authenticity have been the biggest keys to my success. Entrepreneurship can be unpredictable, especially in the culinary industry, so being able to adapt, stay consistent, and keep believing in your vision is everything.
I also think staying true to myself and my culture has helped my brand stand out. I’m proud to incorporate Haitian flavors, hospitality, and energy into my work while still creating elevated experiences. People connect with authenticity, and I think when you genuinely love what you do, it naturally shows through the food and the experience you create.
