Hi Juliana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
When I first found this building, it was meant to become the new home for my other business Bare Roots Salon.
Opening a coffee house felt like a distant dream, something planned for years down the road. But standing inside what had once been a coffee shop, I felt a gentle nudge that it was the right moment and the right place to begin something new.
From that moment on, Bare Roots Coffee House was created from a desire to build a space where people feel welcome, cared for, and at home.
In a world that often feels rushed and loud, Bare Roots is meant to be a place to slow down — a place to rest, reconnect, and enjoy something made with care. From the way we prepare our food and drinks to the way we welcome every person who walks through our doors, everything we do is rooted in purpose and care.
We believe small, thoughtful choices matter. That’s why we focus on quality ingredients, house-made elements, and intentional preparation. But more than that, we believe people matter. Whether you’re stopping in for your daily coffee, meeting a friend, working quietly, or simply needing a moment of peace, you are welcome here.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road — there were plenty of bumps along the way, unexpected delays, and moments that challenged us. But looking back, I truly believe everything happened exactly when it was supposed to. Every obstacle pushed us to grow, improve, and make the coffee house even better than we originally imagined. It was all done in God’s timing, and I’m grateful for every part of the journey.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My passion has always been creating spaces that feel welcoming, intentional, and community-driven — places where people can slow down, connect, and feel at home.
At the coffee house, we specialize in certified organic specialty coffee, house-made syrups, fresh food made in-house, and creating an atmosphere that feels cozy, warm, and genuine. Everything is built with intention, from our ingredients to the customer experience. We focus heavily on quality, hospitality, and the little details that make people feel cared for.
What I’m most proud of is building something that truly reflects our values and heart. Bare Roots was created from a vision of bringing people together and creating a space with purpose, authenticity, and excellence. Seeing customers become regulars, watching the community support us, and building a team that cares deeply about people has been incredibly rewarding.
What sets us apart is the experience and intentionality behind everything we do. We’re not just serving coffee — we’re creating an environment where people feel seen, welcomed, and inspired. From our organic coffee and house-made ingredients to the atmosphere and customer service, we strive to make every detail meaningful.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned throughout this journey is the importance of patience, trusting God, and believing that everything will come together the way it’s supposed to. As a business owner, it’s easy to want everything to happen quickly or exactly according to plan, but I’ve learned that growth takes time and that some of the unexpected challenges often lead to better outcomes.
This journey has taught me to trust the process, stay consistent, keep showing up even during difficult seasons, and have faith that the hard work will eventually pay off. Looking back, many of the delays or obstacles that felt frustrating at the time actually helped shape Bare Roots into something stronger and more meaningful.
