Today we’d like to introduce you to Sinai Aguiar.
Sinai, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started photography years ago almost by accident, but weddings quickly became the thing that changed everything for me. A simple desire to document people and moments turned into a deep love for storytelling, the kind that preserves not just how a day looked, but how it truly felt. Over the last 7 years in the wedding industry, I’ve built my business around connection, nostalgia, and honest emotion.
A lot of my journey has also been shaped by personal experiences with grief, love, and learning how important photographs become over time. That perspective completely changed the way I view weddings and why I document them the way I do.
Today, I photograph weddings across Florida and beyond, creating imagery that feels cinematic, emotional, and true to the people in front of me. What started as a creative outlet slowly became my full-time passion and now I get to tell love stories for a living, which is something I’ll never take for granted.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like a lot of creatives, I started from the ground up and learning everything through experience, trial and error, and a lot of persistence. There were seasons where I questioned myself constantly, struggled with burnout, comparison, and trying to balance creativity with the business side of things. Looking back now, I’m grateful for every difficult season because it shaped not only my work, but the way I connect with people and tell stories today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a wedding photographer specializing in documentary style storytelling with a nostalgic, cinematic approach. My work blends digital, film, and Super 8 to create imagery that feels emotional, timeless, and deeply personal rather than overly posed. I’m especially drawn to the in-between moments. The movement, emotion, quiet interactions, and imperfect details that often end up meaning the most years later.
A lot of couples tell me their photos feel like memories rather than just images, which is always the greatest compliment to receive. What I’m most proud of is building a business rooted in connection and authenticity. My goal is to give people something that feels lasting, imagery that feels alive decades from now.
