Rising Stars: Meet Ingrid Pierre of Miami / South Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ingrid Pierre.

Hi Ingrid, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started a few years back, from 2023, I was working from home due to my internet speed, the job was giving me issues and prevented me from working due to the internet speed, so I had removed my self from the job. I’ve worked for this company for three years since the time of COVID-19. So to my surprise, I was in shock, and they were also onboarding a new a set of management so my old employers were already removed from team. I had no “employer” to advocate for me, so that I may at least continue to do my job. After leaving that employment, I was struggling to keep a job, one job would let me go over smallest mistake and it seemed like every job after I got hired a few weeks they would let me go, almost felt as if this was happening on purpose or I felt like I was being “cursed. This issue of keeping and a job was never a struggle for me and now this has became a scary reality of mine that I would have to face. This issue had left me lost and confused with a sense of no direction, and it was a bit traumatic. During this time My prayer life and faith in God became the reason why I didn’t give up on myself because something as extreme as this, I knew there had to be a purpose behind it. During months of struggle with financial hardship I was making my own bars of soap, I taught myself watching basic youtube videos, free online soapmaking websites and going to the library to find books on the topic of soapmaking,
Along the way I created my own recipes, the same recipe i created for my 100% coconut oil cold process bar soap is the same exact recipe i use when I donate to the homeless. I got the idea of donating to the homeless community as a reminder of when I was homeless, I eventually I lost my apartment, I slept in my car, and hygiene became very very critical at that point.

I had lots of soap that I made before I got evicted out of my home to sustain me and keep me clean.. but what about those whom do not have access to soap? Before I got evicted from my apartment I would always find enjoyment of crafting the bars of soap then giving to my friends and family , it just felt natural I was not looking for anything in return , just only they use and enjoy the bar soap knowing that it would make them clean. Then I thought if only they knew how easy it was to make it,
to make bars of soap their own self that’s when everything clicked and I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. It was like an awakening bingo! Jackpot! I hit gold moment.
God turned my pain into purpose and gave me the name “SoapHouseStudio” mission driven to teach and show others how to make soap from scratch . 6 months later, I flew outside the country internationally to East Africa, Kenya and donate soap to an Orphanage called compassionate Children’s home.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It felt painful. But Smooth at other times, due to my faith in God made the process smooth. I’m a Christian .

The struggle were the of the trauma of “Is this job going to last?” “Are they going to fire me?” and “I can’t get over making soap!” “Why Am I So obsessed with SoapMaking?”

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
