Meet Tito Rey of Tampa, Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tito Rey.

Hi Tito, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
TitoRey is a Cuban urban artist originally from El Cerro, Havana. From a very young age, at just 13 years old, he began his journey in music, influenced by his environment and the realities of street life, which helped him develop discipline, creativity, and a strong artistic identity.
He started his career in 2003, exploring multiple genres such as reggaeton, salsa, bachata, merengue, and cumbia, which has made him a versatile artist within Latin music. In 2015, he emigrated to the United States, a turning point that brought new challenges but also new opportunities for personal and artistic growth.
In 2024, he fully relaunched his career with strong momentum, releasing songs like “La Tanguita,” “Bandida,” and “Doble Vida.” These tracks mark a new artistic stage and reflect his musical evolution, with “La Tanguita” surpassing one million views on YouTube and becoming one of his most recognized releases.
He is also a member of the Recording Academy (Latin Grammy), and a registered artist with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), reflecting his commitment to protecting his brand and building a solid professional identity in the music industry.
Today, TitoRey continues working on new projects, building his path in the industry, and proving that with perseverance, focus, and passion, dreams can become reality without giving up.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
He grew up surrounded by limited opportunities and the realities of street life, which shaped both his character and his determination to succeed. From an early age, he had to learn discipline and resilience in an environment where pursuing a music career was far from guaranteed.
Starting his career in 2003, he faced the challenges of building himself as an independent artist, often working with very limited resources and without strong industry support. Like many immigrant artists, his move to the United States in 2015 brought a new set of struggles, including adapting to a new culture, starting over professionally, and rebuilding his network from the ground up.
There were also periods of pause and uncertainty in his career, especially during the pandemic, when many artistic projects slowed down. However, instead of giving up, he used those moments to refocus, evolve, and prepare for a stronger comeback.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
