Today we’d like to introduce you to Keisha Durosier.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my event planning in 2023 a few years after opening my boutique storefront Keisha Kouture in 2021.. I called it KEP which stands for Keisha Event Planning. Growing up I loved planning and organizing. Before 2022 ended my aunt Ruth suggested that should be my New Year’s resolution. I mainly did it for close friends and family members at the time a few years back before taking it on as a full business a few years back. During 2023-2024 I began juggling two businesses full time . By 2025 I have done over 100+ events and photobooth rentals.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Event planning can be rewarding, creative, and profitable but it’s rarely a smooth road. It’s one of those industries where things look glamorous on the outside, while behind the scenes you’re constantly problem-solving. Especially being that I’m 24 I’m often underestimated . I’m also constantly dealt with last minute changes , vendors running late , budget limits, weather issues for outside events, short set up times and guest showing up before event start time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I currently specialize in creating stylish and memorable event experiences through custom event decor and interactive photobooth services for birthdays, celebrations, and special occasions.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I feel the most important qualities are communication, creativity, organization, and adaptability. Things can change quickly during events, so being able to stay calm under pressure and problem solve is very important. I also think professionalism and attention to detail matter because clients are trusting you with special moments and want to feel confident that everything is handled.

  • Full decor set ups can varies based off event details . Average range starting $1,500 and up
