Daily Inspiration: Meet Michelle Egues

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Egues.

Hi Michelle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in wellness and beauty through a passion for helping others feel confident from the inside out. Before entering the industry, I spent many years as a dance instructor from my teenage years into my late 20s, where I loved empowering young girls to be fearless, confident, and go after their goals unapologetically. Over time, that passion naturally evolved into helping women through fitness, wellness, and self care. Creating my women’s empowerment dance fitness class, Werk n’ Twerk, allowed me to combine movement, confidence, and community in a way that felt authentic to me.

My personal journey with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome also played a huge role in the path I chose. Struggling with my health and skin taught me how important wellness and skincare truly are, and a lot of what I learned came from educating myself and finding solutions on my own. Because PCOS can greatly affect the skin, it sparked my curiosity and passion for esthetics even more.

That ultimately led me to become a licensed esthetician and build Glow Up Corner Miami, a space centered around beauty, confidence, and self care. Today, my goal is to continue helping women feel empowered, confident, and beautiful through every stage of life, including learning how to age gracefully while still feeling like the best version of themselves.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many people building something from the ground up, there have been challenges, moments of self doubt, and times where I had to learn through experience. Navigating my personal wellness journey with PCOS not only affected me physically, but also mentally and emotionally at times. Struggling with hormones, confidence, skin issues, and overall wellness can take a toll on your mental health, and there were periods where I really had to rebuild my confidence and learn how to pour back into myself.

At the same time, balancing personal growth, business growth, and stepping into new industries pushed me far outside of my comfort zone. But every challenge taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of giving yourself grace while growing.

I believe those experiences are also what allow me to genuinely connect with the women I work with. Whether it’s confidence, wellness, skincare, or self care, I understand what it feels like to work through insecurities and grow into a stronger, more confident version of yourself

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a licensed esthetician specializing in lash extensions and customized facial treatments. My work is centered around enhancing natural beauty while creating a calm intentional space where clients can unwind and feel confident in their skin. Through Glow Up Corner Miami, I’m building a brand that blends results driven skincare with a luxury self care experience.

I’m currently expanding my services and continuing to grow my expertise in advanced skincare and beauty treatments with the goal of offering a more elevated and well rounded esthetics menu over time.

What I’m most proud of is being able to build something that allows me to genuinely connect with women and help them feel more confident in their everyday lives. What sets me apart is the energy intention behind everything I do. It’s never just a service, it’s about creating an experience where clients feel seen, cared for, and leave feeling like their best selves.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as alignment, peace, and being fully present in the roles that matter most to me. It is being a present daughter, wife, and dog mom while also building a life and career that feels meaningful and fulfilling. Being able to support my mom, take her to her doctor appointments, and truly show up for my family while still growing professionally is something I deeply value.

Success for me is also measured in the small moments, like a client leaving my space feeling more confident than when they arrived, or being able to grow my brand, Glow Up Corner Miami, in a way that still feels authentic to who I am and what I stand for.

It is not only about financial milestones or external recognition, but also peace of mind, personal growth, and being proud of the life I am building. To me, that combination of purpose, impact, and freedom is what real success looks like.
