Hi Leilani , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey as a makeup artist began long before it became a profession. As a little girl, I was always fascinated by the artistry and transformation that makeup could create. Growing up, I found endless inspiration through beauty influencers on YouTube during the rise of the beauty industry in 2016, where I taught myself techniques, trends, and the importance of creativity and individuality. At the same time, my grandmother — who was a makeup artist in her younger years — became one of my greatest inspirations. Her passion for beauty and self-expression deeply influenced my love for the craft and inspired me to pursue it seriously.
By my senior year of high school, I decided to invest fully into turning my passion into a career. What began as a creative outlet quickly evolved into a growing business fueled by dedication, consistency, and an eye for detail. Through the power of social media, combined with strong word-of-mouth referrals, I was able to build meaningful connections with clients and establish myself within the beauty industry.
Today, makeup artistry is more than just applying makeup — it is about creating confidence, enhancing natural beauty, and giving every client a luxury experience tailored uniquely to them. My artistry reflects both modern beauty trends and timeless elegance, blending creativity, professionalism, and passion into every look I create.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely was not a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges I faced in the beginning was building clientele at such a young age. Being young in a professional industry sometimes made it difficult for people to initially take me seriously or fully trust my experience. At the time, I was still learning not only the artistry side of makeup, but also the business side — professionalism, branding, client communication, and consistency.
However, everything began to change once I truly started taking my craft and business seriously. I invested more into my work, refined my skills, elevated my presentation, and focused on creating a luxury experience for every client. That shift in mindset completely transformed my business. Over time, my dedication spoke for itself, and through consistency, social media exposure, and word-of-mouth referrals, I was able to grow a loyal clientele and establish credibility within the beauty industry.
Looking back, those early struggles became some of my greatest motivation. They taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of believing in yourself even before everyone else does.

I am a professional travel makeup artist specializing in soft glam, elevated beauty, and timeless makeup artistry tailored to each client’s individual features and vision. My work focuses on enhancing natural beauty while still creating polished, camera-ready looks that photograph beautifully both in person and on screen. Over the years, I’ve worked with a variety of clients for special events, photoshoots, content creation, weddings, and luxury experiences throughout South Florida and destination locations.
What I am most proud of is building my business from such a young age through passion, consistency, and genuine client relationships. Turning something I once taught myself through creativity and practice into a respected business has been incredibly rewarding. I take pride not only in the artistry itself, but in the confidence and experience I’m able to give each person who sits in my chair.
I believe what truly sets me apart is my attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to create an experience that feels both personal and elevated. I strive to make every client feel comfortable, understood, and confident from the moment they book with me. My style blends modern beauty trends with timeless elegance, allowing my work to remain versatile while still maintaining a signature refined finish. In an industry driven heavily by trends and social media, I focus on creating makeup that not only looks beautiful online, but also feels luxurious and authentic in real life.

I truly believe no success story happens alone, and I’m incredibly grateful for the people who supported and inspired me throughout my journey. First and foremost, my grandmother deserves a great deal of credit. She was a makeup artist herself when she was younger, and her love for beauty and artistry deeply inspired me from an early age. My mom also played a huge role in shaping my passion for beauty. Growing up, she was always very feminine and loved makeup, and I remember constantly watching her get ready and do her makeup throughout my childhood. Seeing her confidence and love for beauty made me fall in love with the artistry behind it long before I ever pursued it professionally.
