Hi Mileydi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey started during the COVID-19 pandemic. While staying at home, I began creating handmade crafts and foam flowers, which eventually inspired me to decorate my own wedding using roses made by my own hands, balloons, and natural flowers.
After immigrating to the United States, I worked for more than two years at an epoxy resin company, where I fell even more in love with flowers, creativity, and decoration. Over time, I started decorating parties and birthdays for friends and family, and I realized how much joy it brings me to see people smile and say “wow” when they see my work.
Creating beautiful moments and making people happy through decoration is what truly inspires me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been an easy journey. Being Cuban, I grew up in a place where achieving goals can be very difficult due to limited opportunities and resources. Later, immigrating to a new country brought many new challenges, including learning a new language, adapting to a different culture, being far away from loved ones, and starting over from zero.
One of the biggest challenges was believing in myself and continuing to move forward even during uncertain moments. Building something of my own in a completely new environment has required patience, resilience, and a lot of hard work. However, every obstacle has helped me grow stronger and more determined to pursue my dreams.

I specialize in event decoration and creative design, including balloon decorations, floral arrangements, handmade crafts, and personalized party setups. I enjoy creating beautiful and meaningful spaces that help people celebrate important moments in their lives.
One of the things I am most proud of is being able to transform simple ideas into memorable experiences. I pay close attention to details and always try to make each decoration feel unique and personal.
What makes me different is that I truly put my heart into every project. I love seeing the emotions and excitement on people’s faces when they see the final result. For me, creativity is not only about decoration — it is about creating happiness and unforgettable memories.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe one of the biggest risks I have taken was deciding to pursue my own dreams after becoming unemployed. Starting over in a new country without certainty is never easy, especially while adapting to a different language and culture. However, I chose to see that moment not as an ending, but as an opportunity to build something meaningful for myself and my family.
Taking risks, in my opinion, is not about acting without fear — it is about believing in yourself even when the future is uncertain. Building my creative path and event decoration business from zero has required courage, patience, and dedication.
One thing that has made this journey possible is the unconditional support of my husband. Having someone who believes in me during difficult moments has given me the strength and motivation to continue growing and pursuing my goals.
