Meet Slava Oleinik of New York

Today we’d like to introduce you to Slava Oleinik.

Hi Slava, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a kid, I loved sketching and painting. My older brother Denis, knowing about my passion for art, introduced me to 3D modeling. I was so fascinated by it that I spent days learning how to model in 3D programs. Since I was also interested in renovation TV shows, my first models were furniture pieces. As I got older, I went to college and chose to study Interior Design.

I started my interior design career in 2013. At that time, I was working with an interior design studio, supporting the design team with realistic 3D renderings and construction drawings while also completing my Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. By 2019, I had become an experienced Interior Designer with multiple successfully completed interior and exterior design projects.

After moving to New York City, I began helping other designers with something I had been doing for years – creating 3D renderings. I founded Room 2 Render to help designers present their ideas clearly through high-quality visuals and technical drawings. I enjoyed helping others bring their ideas to life, but I always had my own creative vision and ambitions.

In 2024, I decided to start my own interior design firm in New York. STUDIO LEINIK is a New York–based design studio specializing in residential and commercial projects, offering space planning, custom furniture design, and procurement services. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work on many high-end projects in Manhattan and beyond.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been an interesting journey, full of ups and downs, but my passion for art and creativity has never left me. It continues to help me overcome challenges, grow, and reach new goals.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
believe that every interior and artwork tells a story.

I usually start with a mood that I think will resonate with my clients – almost like creating a feeling or a mood board.

From there, I develop the concept further through 3D renderings and material selection. When it comes to furniture, I enjoy mixing modern and vintage pieces. I believe that furniture with history adds character and depth to a space, making it truly unique.

How do you define success?
For me, true success is having the opportunity to fully express my creativity.
