Life & Work with Tammy Iban of Miami / South Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Iban.

Hi Tammy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started Clandestinemood from a very simple idea: creating the kind of experiences I felt were missing (curated, elevated, and genuinely meaningful for women).

What began as small, intimate gatherings quickly grew into a platform. We saw strong demand from both our community and brands looking to connect in a more authentic way.

Today, Clandestinemood sits at the intersection of wellness, lifestyle, and brand partnerships. We create highly curated experiences and collaborate with global brands, always with a focus on quality, intention, and community.

Now, the focus is on scaling and expanding into new markets and formats while protecting the exclusivity and identity that make the brand unique.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. The biggest challenge was entering a completely new market under very tough conditions.

I was building Clandestinemood in a new city (Miami), right after the pandemic, without an existing network or community. On top of that, I was introducing a concept that Miami hadn’t really seen before: something more curated, intentional, and selective in a market that’s often more transactional and volume-driven.

So the initial challenge was twofold: building trust from zero and educating both the audience and brands on the value of what we were creating.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m the founder and CEO of Clandestinemood, but my work goes far beyond events.

At the core, I’m focused on movement, community, and creating spaces where women genuinely connect. I teach Pilates because I love it, not only as a business tool, but as a way to build real relationships and energy with people. Over time, that naturally grew into a community of women who follow me across studios and experiences in the city.

Clandestinemood came from that same instinct: curating intentional, elevated moments where people can step out of routine and feel something real. Today, I combine that with brand partnerships and large-scale experiences, but the essence is still the same.

What I’m known for is curation and community: bringing the right people into the right spaces and making it feel effortless but meaningful.

What I’m most proud of is that it all grew organically, from teaching classes to building a platform people genuinely trust and want to be part of.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something most people don’t know about me is that my background is actually in law. I specialized in international and diplomatic affairs, and I graduated at the top of my class.

For a long time, that was my path. Very structured, academic, and focused on a completely different world. But at some point, I realized I was more drawn to people, creativity, and building things in real life rather than staying in a purely legal or institutional environment.

So I made a very intentional shift into marketing, wellness, and experience-building, which eventually led me to found Clandestinemood.
