Today we’d like to introduce you to Brad Butzberger.
Hi Brad, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in West Palm Beach with a passion for music from a young age. I started by writing short verses in middle school, and by my freshman year of high school in 2018, I was performing and writing full songs, even getting the chance to perform at my school’s Christmas chapel.
Since then, I’ve been consistently releasing music since 2019, originally under the name BRB Music. What started as motivational rap has grown into something deeper: faith-based music that reflects real struggles, growth, and purpose. My sound blends melodic trap with messages centered on redemption, discipline, and trusting God through every season.
In 2024, I released my debut album Sanctified, which debuted at #10 on the Canadian hip-hop charts. Since then, my catalog has grown to over 100,000 annual streams across Spotify and Apple Music.
Right now, I’m in the process of rebranding to BRB as I step into a new chapter. My upcoming project reflects that transition — a more focused and intentional sound, rooted in faith and growth. My goal is to continue building and become one of the leading voices for faith-based rap coming out of Florida.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely been a challenging road with lots of ups and downs, yet rewarding at the same time. My parents got divorced in 2020, which was a challenging time for me where there it felt like there weren’t that many people there for me, inspiring my song ‘Never Alone’ to remind listeners that they’re never alone if they got God on their side, regardless of who has betrayed them or wronged them, or if they feel like no one is there for them. This was a challenging time in my life that I was able to push through, and looking back I see how God kept me through every single step of the way. Balancing college with my dreams of being a full-time artist has been challenging, as I am now about to graduate and get married. Overall though, my struggles have enabled me to grow in ways that I could not have grown without the challenge.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a faith-based rapper who makes rap that redeems. My music is different than others because it blends a Florida-Atlantic melodic trap sound with the hope and faith that is rooted in my values and present throughout my music. I want to use the means of rap to reach people with the good news that changed my life and so many others. I am also known for my headlining fest in the area, Sanctified Live, which we started at the beginning of this year and had over 70 people pay to support for our first event in January, building strong momentum for future events here in West Palm Beach.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I like most about my city is the booming downtown atmosphere, having a growing community that enables me to reach more people in the area as an artist. I’ve been born and raised here in West Palm Beach, which is truly a beautiful place that I have grown to love over the years. What I like least about our city is how much traffic has gotten worse over the years as a result of so many people moving.
