Conversations with Kev Cohen & Michael Bismuth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kev Cohen & Michael Bismuth.

Hi Kev Cohen & Michael Bismuth , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
cuz. is a creative studio based in Miami, founded by two cousins, Kev and Michael. We work across creative direction, photography, motion, and AI to build high-end visual worlds for brands and artists. Early on, we had the chance to create a major visual project for a leading music artist, and that experience completely shifted our perspective on what AI could become as a creative tool. It pushed us to build something much bigger around that idea. Today, cuz. works across both the music and brand worlds, collaborating with clients like DKNY, Karl Lagerfeld, Bigface, and David Guetta.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. In the beginning, one of our biggest challenges was that AI was still met with a lot of skepticism, especially in creative industries. There was a lot of resistance, a lot of doubt, and in many cases real fear from clients and artists around what this technology meant for their brand, their image, and the quality of the work.

A big part of our journey was learning how to educate people. We had to show that we were not coming into this as outsiders chasing a trend. Between the two of us, we had already spent over 30 years working across photography, art direction, film, and creative direction, so we understood the standards, the pressure, and the level of taste the industry expects. That background gave us the ability to use AI in a way that still felt elevated, intentional, and creatively sound.

There were also challenges on the business side. As the space evolved, we had to build trust, protect our work, and make sure everything we were doing was framed clearly and responsibly from a legal and professional standpoint. That took time.

So no, it definitely was not a smooth road, but those early struggles forced us to become sharper. They pushed us to develop a real point of view, a strong process, and the credibility to bring both brands and artists into this space with confidence. Today, that trust is a huge part of why we get to work with the kind of clients we do.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We work across everything from social campaigns and brand content to larger brand campaigns, music visuals, and creative work for artists. A big part of what we do is helping brands build visual worlds that feel elevated, distinctive, and made for today’s digital landscape. A lot of our work lives on social, whether that is organic content, paid campaigns, or broader digital storytelling, and that is definitely one of our specialties.

What really sets us apart is the level of taste, care, and execution we bring to AI. We are very intentional about how we use it. For us, it is not about generating fast, disposable content or work that immediately looks AI-made. It is about achieving a level of polish and precision that feels closer to high-end CGI or traditional production. The goal is always to create something sharp, professional, and visually convincing, where the technology disappears behind the final image.

We have also built a very precise creative process that gives clients real visibility into the work as it develops, so they can be part of the journey while still trusting the direction. Everything is tailored. Nothing is generic. We care just as much about the marketing impact and performance of a piece as we do about its visual quality, so the work has to succeed on both levels.

What we are most proud of is that we have built a studio known for making AI feel elevated. At a time when so much work in this space can feel rushed, templated, or low-quality, we have stayed focused on craft, detail, and creating images that can genuinely stand alongside more traditional forms of production. That standard is a huge part of our identity, and it is what continues to set us apart.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with us across brand campaigns, social content, music visuals, and custom creative projects. We collaborate with brands, artists, and agencies that are looking for strong visual direction and a more tailored creative approach. Whether it is a one-time project or a longer-term partnership, we like to build closely with our clients and shape work that feels specific, thoughtful, and visually ambitious.

We are always open to meeting people who share that mindset, whether they are looking to collaborate creatively or bring us in for a campaign. The best way to connect with us is through our website, www.cuzmade.com, or on Instagram at @cuzmadeit.
