Today we’d like to introduce you to Anis Musa.
Hi Anis musa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am Spanish, and in Europe, lime-based organic finishes are very popular. When I was 18, during my first job as a painter, I watched my boss create these finishes—and that is where my love for this highly artistic craft began. Essentially, we are applying marble to a wall, but in the form of plaster; it offers a wide variety of finishes and textures, is completely organic, and contains 0% VOCs.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I arrived in the United States in 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic was beginning. I had come on vacation to visit family, but when the airports closed, I ended up staying. I started sourcing materials and began using Facebook to find work. That is how I met my wife, and we got married—all of this took place in Atlanta. I performed handyman work, framing, and painting; I also applied Venetian plaster in the homes of relatives. When I moved to Tampa in 2023, I began working for a company where I further expanded my knowledge regarding materials by engaging with various suppliers. On weekends, I attended to my own clientele, handling smaller jobs. After about a year and a half, I decided to leave my job and focus 100% on my own company; getting out there—networking and meeting contractors, designers, and architects—proved to be the key to my success.

I’m a decorative finishes specialist and founder of Royal Elite Finish LLC, focused on high-end, Mediterranean-inspired surfaces such as Venetian plaster, Marmorino, limewash, Tadelakt, and microcement. My work blends craftsmanship with artistry—I don’t just apply finishes, I create textures, depth, and atmosphere within a space.
I specialize in transforming ordinary surfaces into custom, timeless designs, whether it’s a feature wall, fireplace, or full interior concept. I’m known for achieving natural movement, soft tonal variations, and a refined, organic look that feels both modern and classic.
What I’m most proud of is my ability to adapt to each client’s vision while maintaining a high level of detail and quality. Every project is treated as a unique piece, not a repetitive job.
What sets me apart is my hands-on approach, my deep understanding of materials, and my commitment to delivering luxury-level finishes with precision. I combine traditional European techniques with modern systems to create durable, artistic results that stand out.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to value my work and communicate it clearly. Early on, I focused only on delivering high-quality results, but I realized that without setting expectations and boundaries, even great work can lead to challenges. Now I approach every project with transparency, confidence in my pricing, and a commitment to both craftsmanship and client understanding. That shift has made a major difference in my growth.
