Today we’d like to introduce you to Kreshnik Behrami.
Hi Kreshnik, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Kreshnik Behrami, and my story started in Kosovo, a small country with a strong history and resilient people. Growing up, I learned early the importance of strength, ambition, and never giving up no matter the circumstances. Coming from a place that has been through war and hardship taught me to appreciate every opportunity and work hard for everything I achieve.
When I moved to the United States, I had to adapt to a completely new life and build myself from the ground up. I worked in restaurants while chasing bigger dreams and pushing myself to grow personally and professionally. Along the way, I developed a passion for fitness, beauty industry , fashion, and inspiring others to become more confident in themselves.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Moving to a new country came with many challenges — adapting to a different culture, building a life from scratch, and learning how to stay strong during uncertain moments. There were times when I doubted myself, felt overwhelmed, or had to work long hours while still trying to chase bigger dreams.
Coming from Kosovo also gave me a different perspective on life. Growing up hearing stories of war and sacrifice made me realize that nothing comes easy, and that resilience is important. I’ve faced setbacks, disappointments, and moments where things did not go as planned, but every challenge taught me something valuable and pushed me to become stronger and more disciplined.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work in the hair industry at MMA Salon in South Beach, specializing in hair color and transformations. I’m passionate about helping people feel more confident and bringing creativity into my work every day.
I’m most proud of how far I’ve come after moving to the United States and building a career for myself . What sets me apart is my passion, creativity, and the way I connect with people through my work and my story.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years, I think the hair industry is going to shift a lot — especially in color work and how clients approach salon visits.
The biggest change is that it’s becoming more personalized and low-maintenance. Instead of very high-contrast, dramatic color changes, clients are leaning toward more lived-in looks like soft brunettes, dimensional blondes, and subtle color melts that grow out naturally. It’s less about constant upkeep and more about hair that looks expensive and healthy in real life, not just in photos.
Another big shift is that hair health is now part of the trend itself. People care more about the condition of their hair, bond protection, and treatments, not just the end color. That’s pushing stylists to be more like consultants — not just coloring hair, but customizing everything based on texture, history, and lifestyle.
Technology and social media will also keep influencing trends faster than ever. Clients come in with very specific inspiration, so stylists who can adapt, interpret, and create custom results will stand out the most.
Overall, I think the future belongs to stylists who focus on healthy hair, customization, and natural-looking luxury color, while still staying creative and ahead of trends.
