Hidden Gems: Meet Silvana Massolo of Revolve Group and HIVE House

Today we’d like to introduce you to Silvana Massolo.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I came to the United States from Peru more than 30 years ago, and I was the first in my family to graduate from college here in the U.S. That experience — of building something from nothing in a new country — has shaped everything about how I approach my work and my life.

I started my career in marketing at a time when multicultural strategy was still largely overlooked, and I found my footing at agencies across Miami working with brands like Norwegian Cruise Line, Copa Airlines, Lexus, Kia, McDonald’s, and State Farm. Over nearly two decades, I grew from an assistant account executive into a managing director and agency partner, learning every layer of what it takes to build a brand and grow a business.

In 2017, I founded what would become Revolve Group while still working full time in Dallas, Texas. I built the business on nights and weekends before eventually moving back to Miami, where I rebranded and relaunched it alongside my partner Mabel De Beunza, a seasoned hospitality and travel public relations expert. My firm focuses on branding and advertising, working with business owners, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs across the United States in an intentionally wide range of categories. My clients include a med spa in Tallahassee (Evita Med Spa), a luxury hospitality brand in Napa Valley (White House Napa), two plumbing companies including one in Kalispell, Montana (Plumb-Rite Plumbing) and one in Brooklyn, New York (A Good Plumber), the American Anthropological Association, architecture firms in Dallas, a documentary, and a high-profile entrepreneur whose personal brand I have the privilege of managing. That breadth is intentional, and it is a reflection of how I have always approached this work — with curiosity, commitment, and a deep belief that every business deserves a brand worthy of its ambition.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has never been a smooth road — and honestly, I wouldn’t trade the hard parts. Being an immigrant, being a woman building in spaces where neither was the norm, being the first in my family to navigate American higher education and a corporate career — all of it required me to work twice as hard just to be in the room, let alone lead it.

Entrepreneurship added another layer entirely. The late nights are real. The missed birthdays, weddings, and moments you can never get back are real. And there is a significant difference between building something on the side while a corporate paycheck hits your account every two weeks, and going all in without a safety net — sick or not, slow season or not, doubt or not.

The first two to three years as a full-time entrepreneur are the hardest thing I have ever done. And I want to be honest about that because this path is not for everyone. When you decide to truly launch a business, you cannot have a plan B. A plan B means you do not fully believe your plan A will work. It is a security blanket you have to be willing to leave behind.
When you go all in, you have to be ready for battle. You will work most of the time. Most people will not understand your schedule or your devotion. You will lose people along the way. Your relationships will be tested. And you have to keep moving forward anyway — because stopping is not an option you have given yourself.

But here is what I know to be true: you will find your people. Those who stick by you through all of it, who cheer you on without fully understanding what drives you, who show up anyway — those are your real ones. Being close to a driven entrepreneur, let alone being their partner, is not for the faint of heart. But it is absolutely worth it.

As you know, we’re big fans of Revolve Group and HIVE House. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I run two businesses simultaneously, and I would not have it any other way. Revolve Group (revolvegrp.com) is my branding and advertising firm, where I work with founders, business owners, and nonprofits across the United States to build brands that are clear, consistent, and built to grow. Over the course of my career I have worked with more than 40 brands across industries — from Fortune 500 companies to family-owned businesses, spanning beauty, hospitality, home services, architecture, financial services, travel, and automotive — and that range is by design. I believe great strategy is industry-agnostic, and some of my best work has come from the most unexpected places. I am always up for the challenge.

At Revolve Group, we partner with established businesses that have been around for at least eight years and generate revenues of 1.5 million dollars or more annually. Our clients are serious about growth, and so are we.

HIVE House (hivehouseclub.com) was born out of an experience that changed everything for me. While leading Revolve Group, I took on the role of Executive Director of the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce, where I led all marketing and operations alongside the Chamber’s President, Rhys O’Connell. Together we grew paid membership by 300% and increased average event attendance by 500%, from 20 to over 120 attendees, in a single year. When we both stepped down, we knew we weren’t done building together — and HIVE House is what came next. It is a private, application-based membership community for Miami’s most connected founders, operators, and leaders, built around the belief that the right relationships change everything. We are invitation-optional, application-required, and built around one standard: quality over volume. We bring people together through intentional programming designed to create real value, not just networking. We also have high-end brand partners that help us deliver meaningful benefits to our members.

Between the two, I spend my days building brands and building community. Both, at their core, are about the same thing: helping people find clarity, find their people, and grow into the fullest version of what they are building.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My clients deserve enormous credit. They trusted me and my team with something deeply personal: their businesses. We do not take that lightly. We manage every client’s business as if it were our own, and every dollar is accounted for. That kind of trust is not given freely, and I am grateful for it every single day.

My team — I could not do any of this without them. They show up, they care, and it shows in the work.
Rhys O’Connell, my co-founder at HIVE House, also deserves a mention — his vision and partnership have made that community what it is today.

And to my closest friends — the ones who celebrate every win with me, big and small, who show up even when they are exhausted and remind me that every milestone is worth raising a glass to. You know who you are.

And then there is Enzo, my dog, who has been present for every high and every low without judgment, without complaint, and without ever asking for a status update. Every entrepreneur needs an Enzo.

But if you are asking who deserves the most credit for where I am? It is the version of me that refused to quit. And every single entrepreneur knows exactly what I mean.
