Hi Samantha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my tanning business after years of working in salons since I was 17, where I learned the ins and outs of the industry and what clients truly value. After taking a short break to recharge, I got a spray tan for my wedding—and the confidence it gave me was incredible. I felt radiant, polished, and completely at ease. At the same time, the price was far higher than I expected, and it made me realize there was an opportunity to offer that same experience in a more accessible way. That’s when I decided to create a service that delivers high-quality, confidence-boosting results at a more reasonable cost, all from the comfort and convenience of clients’ own homes.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course not—it hasn’t been a smooth road. Learning how to open and operate a business entirely on my own has been one of the biggest challenges. I started with zero clientele, truly from the ground up, which meant building trust, getting my name out there, and growing slowly over time. Along the way, I’ve had to figure out what clients love, what they don’t, and how to adapt while still staying true to my brand. One of the toughest but most valuable lessons has been realizing that my service won’t be for everyone—and that’s okay. Each challenge has helped me grow, both as a business owner and in confidence.

What matters most to me are the connections and relationships I build with my clients. Creating a comfortable, positive experience where people feel confident and taken care of is just as important as the service itself. Over time, those relationships become the foundation of my business and what makes the work so fulfilling. And of course—the tan is a close second 😉
