Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenna Manning.
Hi Jenna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Frontline Protective Services was founded more than 40 years after my parents/founders relocated to South Florida from Philadelphia Pennsylvania. , What started as a small, family-run operation grew into a trusted security presence spanning from Port St. Lucie to Hallandale, serving residential communities, gatehouses, condominiums, hotels, and private events. Which was all built from the ground up.
Although I was raised around the business, my path initially led me elsewhere. I pursued a career as a physician assistant and spent five years working in internal medicine. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, our family faced a life-changing moment. My father, one of the founders, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.
At that point, I stepped away from medicine to support my family—helping care for my father while also stepping into the business alongside my mother, who was his primary caregiver. What began as a temporary shift quickly became something much more meaningful. I immersed myself in every aspect of the company, learning the business from the ground up in a new way.
That experience ultimately led me into my current role as Director, and it continues to shape my vision for the future as I prepare to one day carry the company forward as CEO.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
t certainly hasn’t been smooth sailing—and I think that’s true for any business that’s built to last.
The most defining challenges I’ve faced have been deeply personal. We lost my father, one of the founders, after his battle with glioblastoma. Just six weeks later, I gave birth to my first son. That period was an intense intersection of grief and new life—personally overwhelming, yet at the same time, the responsibility to lead and maintain the company never paused.
Stepping into a leadership role during that time also came with its own set of challenges internally. As someone transitioning into the business from a different career path, I faced skepticism from some long-term employees who saw me simply as “the owner’s daughter.” Earning credibility wasn’t given—it had to be built through consistency, accountability, and a willingness to learn every aspect of the operation firsthand.
Balancing personal loss, new motherhood, and professional responsibility required resilience in a way I hadn’t experienced before. But those moments ultimately shaped how I lead today—with empathy, clarity, and a deep respect for the people and foundation that built this company.
As you know, we’re big fans of Frontline Protect Services . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Frontline Protective Services is a family-owned security firm specializing in residential communities, luxury condominiums, hotels, and private events throughout South Florida. While security is our foundation, what truly defines us is our white-glove approach to service.
We pride ourselves on being highly hands-on and relationship-driven. Our clients aren’t just accounts—they’re long-term partnerships. We take the time to understand each property and tailor our services to reflect not only its security needs, but the level of professionalism and presence it represents.
What sets us apart is the experience we create. Our officers are trained not just in safety, but in presentation, communication, and professionalism—often serving as the first and lasting impression of the communities we protect.
What I’m most proud of is the reputation we’ve built as a company that is accessible, accountable, and deeply invested in our clients. We’re not a large, impersonal operation. We’re a family business that stands behind our name and the service we deliver every day.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
That I am a certified physician assistant with an active license who worked in medicine prior to getting involved in the family business.
