Today we’d like to introduce you to Leslie Class.
Hi Leslie , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My life was shaped by responsibility early. I became a mother at 16, and by 19, I was raising two children as a single mother, including my second child, who was born with cerebral palsy. Those years required strength, sacrifice, faith, and a level of resilience that would ultimately define not only how I endured, but how I built my life.
Even then, I knew I wanted more than survival. I wanted to create a life of stability, purpose, and possibility for my children and for myself. I worked full time, often balancing multiple jobs, while continuing to learn, grow, and pursue every opportunity that could move us forward. I understood early that if my life was going to change, I would have to be willing to build that change with my own hands.
My professional journey began in healthcare, where I became a certified medical assistant. Over time, that foundation expanded into education, leadership, and entrepreneurship. I transitioned from healthcare into education, where I later served as Director of Medical Assistant and Medical Billing and Coding programs before going on to found LC Career Center.
What has always distinguished my journey is vision. I was never only interested in what I was teaching. I was deeply drawn to how people learn, how education restores confidence, and how training can open doors that once felt closed. Long before digital learning became widely embraced, I was already imagining how meaningful instruction could be transformed into online experiences that were engaging, practical, and deeply human. That vision led me into instructional design, course development, learning platforms, and learning architecture.
At the center of everything I have built is family. My children were always the reason behind the work, the sacrifice, and the dream. Now, with all of them grown and three grandchildren in my life, I view this season with profound gratitude. It is not a season of slowing down, but one of refinement, clarity, and continued purpose. One of my proudest moments has been watching my youngest earn a full scholarship to New York Law School.
LC Career Center is more than a company to me. It is the embodiment of perseverance, faith, and vision. It is the result of choosing to remain faithful to what I saw in my heart long before I could fully see it in my hands.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road, but I have come to understand that the most meaningful journeys rarely are. My path was built through responsibility, sacrifice, reinvention, and vision. I became a mother young and began shaping my future while carrying the weight of real-life responsibility from the start. I worked full time, often balancing multiple jobs, while continuing my education, raising my children, and holding onto a larger vision for the life I believed was possible.
One of the greatest challenges was having clarity before I had capacity. I could see where education, digital learning, and entrepreneurship were going long before I had the full structure, resources, or support to bring that vision into form. There is a particular kind of strength required to remain faithful to what you can see inwardly while building it outwardly in real time.
My journey required continual evolution. I moved from healthcare into education, where I grew into leadership and later served as Director of Medical Assistant and Medical Billing and Coding programs, before expanding into entrepreneurship and learning design. Each chapter required new skills, a new level of confidence, and a willingness to keep becoming.
Looking back, I do not see the obstacles as interruptions. I see them as the very forces that shaped my resilience, refined my vision, and gave my work the depth and purpose it holds today.

What I am most proud of is that LC Career Center represents alignment—between people, performance, and purpose. Because when training is done right, it does more than teach—it transforms.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I have learned is that vision requires faith, endurance, and the willingness to keep moving forward even when not everyone is willing or able to walk the journey with you. One of the most difficult truths about building anything meaningful is realizing that not everyone will understand your vision, believe in it, or have the capacity to support what they cannot yet see. There are seasons in life and business that require sacrifice, and sometimes that sacrifice takes the form of distance, loss, loneliness, or the quiet grief of outgrowing what once felt safe, familiar, or even like love and family.
What I have come to understand is that purpose demands a deeper kind of strength—the strength to remain aligned when affirmation is limited, when progress feels slow, and when what you are building is still more visible in your spirit than in the world around you. I have learned not to measure the validity of a vision by the immediacy of outside understanding. That has been one of the deepest lessons of my journey: never measure the value of a vision by how quickly others are able to recognize it.
I have also learned that alignment is divine and unfolds in its own timing. The right people, the right opportunities, and the right doors often arrive in season. Partnerships and possibilities often emerge only after you have shown that you are willing to honor the vision long enough to build it. For me, that has meant staying grounded in faith, staying true to my values, and trusting that what is built with purpose, discipline, and perseverance will unfold in the way it is meant to.
If I had to name the lesson simply, it would be this: not everyone will see the vision when you first carry it, but that does not make it any less real. Stay faithful, keep building, and let time reveal the power of persistence.
