Community Highlights: Meet Danielle Falk of Danielle Falk LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Falk.

Hi Danielle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story really begins in Ethiopia. Before traveling through the country with friends, I volunteered at an orphanage/women’s shelter, bringing my massage table to offer sessions to the staff and resident mothers. I had always believed in the power of touch, but nothing had quite prepared me for what I witnessed there. Watching women who had been holding so much finally release under that care moved me in a way I hadn’t expected. That experience planted something in me that I couldn’t ignore. Working with mothers, with women in this tender and transformative season of life, felt like a true calling.
I started my massage therapy career in Denver, Colorado in 2017, where it began as a passionate side job. I pursued it in part because I had personally experienced how profoundly massage can affect both the mind and body. Over time, what I loved most became clear: prenatal and postpartum clients. I pursued my certification in that specialty and after relocating to Miami in 2021, went even deeper into that work. A few years ago, I completed my master’s in clinical social work, which opened the door to offering mental health therapy to this same population through Mammha. What started as hands-on healing has grown into something much more whole.
That dual lens of body and mind is really at the heart of everything I do now. The perinatal and postpartum period is one of the most emotionally and physically demanding chapters a woman can move through, and I want to be someone who can meet her in all of it. A big part of my practice today is also about giving back. I grew up in a small town in Ohio, and my mom was a constant presence at community events, always volunteering and always showing up for people. I watched firsthand how that kind of care changed individuals, and it never left me. That spirit is behind my monthly giveaway of a free mobile prenatal or postpartum massage to a Miami-area mom since 2024, and it’s why I volunteer at the Lotus House, offering chair massages to residents and expressive arts activities with the children there. I want every mother I encounter to feel genuinely supported, and I hope that in some small way, my work inspires other providers to give a piece of their time and skills back to their communities too.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a linear path at all. One of the biggest obstacles was picking up and moving to Miami in 2021 without knowing a single person. I had to start completely from scratch and figure out how to adjust to an entirely different world. To say the least, I did not fit in one bit. Going from a country farm girl to living full Miami Vice was honestly one of the most challenging things I’ve ever had to navigate, just finding my footing and feeling like I belonged somewhere.
On top of that, I was juggling multiple jobs while attending graduate school full time. There were stretches where I was working 60 plus hours a week and still showing up to class, and burnout was very much in full effect. It took a real toll on my health and my relationships at times.
But what came out of all of that struggle was a genuine, deep respect for self-care, not just as something I recommend to clients, but as something I had to learn to protect in myself. And honestly, I think that difficulty made me a better practitioner for the women I serve. I lived it, so I understand it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Danielle Falk LLC?
This is a boutique wellness practice, but honestly it’s so much more than that to me. At the heart of everything I do is this belief that the body and the mind are deeply connected, and that becomes especially true during some of the biggest, most transformative moments of a woman’s life.
What makes my practice a little different is that I wear two hats. I’m both a licensed prenatal and postpartum massage therapist and a perinatal mental health therapist. That combination is really what sets me apart. I’m not just working out the tension in your shoulders or just sitting across from you in a therapy session. I understand both sides of what you’re going through, and that allows me to offer a level of care that feels really whole.
Beyond prenatal and postpartum massage, I also specialize in lymphatic massage and oncology massage for women navigating a cancer diagnosis. These are areas that require a very specific, educated touch, and the women coming to me for these services are often in some of the most vulnerable chapters of their lives. I don’t take that lightly.
Brand wise, what I’m most proud of is that this practice doesn’t feel cold or clinical. Women come in and they feel genuinely seen. That has been built one relationship at a time and it’s something I protect fiercely.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are a lot of ways to connect and I’m always open to it. If you’re a woman looking for support, the best place to start is my website at dmfalk.com. Everything you need is there, from learning about my services to getting yourself booked. You can also find me on social media @dfalktherapies. On the collaboration side, my heart really lights up when I get to connect with people who are already in this world. Yoga studios, OB practices, midwives, doulas, birth workers. Anyone who is already showing up for women during pregnancy, postpartum, or healing. I really believe that when practitioners come together, the women we serve feel that. It creates something so much more than any one of us could offer alone, and that’s the kind of community I want to be part of building. I’m also really open to speaking and wellness events. Panels, workshops, pop-ups, community gatherings. If there’s a room full of people who want to talk about maternal mental health, nervous system care, or what real self-care actually looks like, I want to be in that room. And honestly, some of the best things I’ve been a part of started with just a simple reach out. So if anything here resonates with you, don’t be a stranger.
