From a young age, I knew I had a passion for transforming spaces. It all started with my grandmother, my biggest inspiration. She had an eye for beauty and a deep understanding of how a home should feel. Together, we would rearrange furniture, refresh rooms, and breathe new life into the spaces we lived in. She saw something in me before I even knew it myself. She knew that design was more than just aesthetics; it was about creating an environment that made people feel something; comfort, joy, inspiration.
She was the one who encouraged me to pursue interior design as a career. But in my home country, the profession wasn’t widely recognized in the way it is today. It was often seen as a basic skill rather than a full-fledged profession. Despite this, her belief in me never wavered. When I moved to the United States, I discovered a world where interior design and architecture were celebrated as professional careers; an opportunity I embraced with open arms. I knew this was my path, not just because I loved it, but because she believed in me.
Today, as the founder of stuD|O Interior Design, my mission is clear: to create spaces that my clients will truly fall in love with. My approach to design isn’t just about high-end luxury; it’s about people. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what your budget is. My ideal client is anyone with the desire to transform their space into something that enhances their daily life. Like most businesses, it hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been building awareness around a virtual interior design studio and educating clients on how effective and flexible this approach can be. But those challenges have also pushed us to innovate and refine our process.
