Today we’d like to introduce you to Edwin Moreno.
Hi Edwin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my journey in health insurance because I saw how confusing and frustrating the system can be for everyday people. Most people don’t really understand how their coverage works until they need it, and by then it’s often too late. That realization made me want to be someone who could actually help people navigate those decisions and make sure they’re properly protected.
Like most entrepreneurs, the beginning wasn’t glamorous. I started by learning the industry from the ground up, spending countless hours studying plans, understanding underwriting, and getting comfortable speaking with people from all different backgrounds. A big part of the process was simply putting in the reps making calls, having conversations, learning how to listen to what people actually need instead of just trying to sell something.
Over time I began to realize that what I was building wasn’t just a job, it was a business and eventually a brand. That’s where the idea for More Health came from. The name reflects a bigger philosophy I believe in: health isn’t just about insurance coverage, it’s about protection, discipline, peace of mind, and making smart decisions for the future.
Today my focus is continuing to grow my business while helping more individuals, families, and small business owners find coverage that actually works for their situation. I’m also building More Health into something bigger than just insurance a brand centered around responsibility, longevity, and living with purpose.
I’m still early in the journey, but that’s what excites me the most. I’m focused on building something long-term, something that creates real value for people and stands the test of time.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
More Health is a health insurance brokerage focused on helping individuals, families, and small business owners find coverage that actually works for their situation. One of the biggest problems in the industry is that most people don’t fully understand their options. They’re often choosing between expensive marketplace plans or going completely uninsured because they think those are the only choices available. My role is to help simplify that process and show people what alternatives exist.
I specialize in helping self-employed individuals, entrepreneurs, independent contractors, and small business owners. These groups often fall into a gap where coverage can be confusing or expensive, so the goal is to guide them through the options and help them find plans that balance affordability with real protection.
What sets my approach apart is that I focus heavily on education and transparency. Instead of rushing people into a plan, I spend time explaining how the coverage actually works things like deductibles, networks, and out-of-pocket costs so they can make informed decisions. Insurance is something people depend on during some of the most stressful moments of their lives, so it’s important that they truly understand what they have.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I think risk is often misunderstood. Most people associate risk with doing something reckless or jumping into the unknown without a plan. For me, risk is more about stepping into opportunities that require courage, discipline, and a willingness to grow, even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.
Starting my own business was definitely one of the biggest risks I’ve taken. When you work in a commission based industry like insurance, there’s no guaranteed paycheck. Everything depends on your ability to build relationships, earn trust, and consistently perform. That can be intimidating at first, but it also forces you to develop a strong work ethic and take full responsibility for your results.
