Hidden Gems: Meet Piroska Szabo of Paradise Pours by Piri

Today we’d like to introduce you to Piroska Szabo.

Hi Piroska, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born and raised in Germany, where I developed a strong work ethic and an appreciation for structure, quality, and attention to detail. From a young age, I was drawn to hospitality — I’ve always loved creating experiences that make people feel welcomed, cared for, and truly special.

Eventually, life brought me to Miami, and I instantly felt at home. The energy, the warmth, the vibrant lifestyle — it all inspired me. Miami became my forever home and the place where I decided to turn my passion into something tangible.

Combining my European foundation with Miami’s sense of paradise, I built my path around bringing that feeling into people’s homes. My goal has always been to deliver not just a service, but an experience — one that is personalized, detail-oriented, and thoughtfully curated for each individual client. I truly love what I do, and that passion is reflected in every interaction and every space I touch.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey definitely wasn’t without its challenges. Moving from Germany to Miami was a major transition — not just geographically, but emotionally and professionally. I had to step out of everything familiar and rebuild from the ground up. Adjusting to a new culture, new business environment, and new network took time, patience, and resilience.

There were moments of uncertainty — navigating the logistics of the move, building connections in a new city, and establishing myself in a competitive industry. It wasn’t always easy, and there were times when I questioned whether I was making the right decisions.

But those struggles shaped me. They taught me adaptability, perseverance, and the importance of staying true to my vision. Every challenge pushed me to refine my approach and become stronger, more intentional, and more detail-oriented in my work. Looking back, the difficult moments were essential — they helped me grow into the person and professional I am today.

My goal is always to bring a sense of paradise into every home or venue, creating memorable experiences through professionalism, creativity, and impeccable service.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is traveling to Portugal with my aunt and cousin when I was 14. It was the first time I had ever really traveled, and it completely opened my world. I remember seeing the ocean for the first time — it felt endless and powerful, and I was just in awe.

What stayed with me just as much was the food. It was the best I had ever tasted — especially the seafood. That trip was the moment I truly fell in love with fresh flavors, shared meals, and the way food can bring people together. Looking back, I think that experience planted a seed in me. It sparked my appreciation for hospitality, atmosphere, and creating moments that people remember long after they’re over.
