Life & Work with Tachi Llamas of Brickell, Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tachi Llamas.

Hi Tachi, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hola! My name is Tachi Llamas. Originally from Colombia, I came to the United States to study in Chicago, where I graduated as a graphic designer. After a few years, the winters finally got to this tropical girl, and I made the move to Miami, Florida.

I’ve now lived here for over 25 years, and what I love most is the community I’ve been able to build. Through sports, the arts, and my love for animals, my calendar is always full in the best way.

During COVID, a special little furry guy came into my life and introduced me to a whole new world of unconditional love. That journey naturally led me deeper into the pet community. Today, I organize pet markets and co-founded a pet magazine that connects local pet businesses and pet lovers.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a fun road where I have gotten to meet great people.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a graphic designer with a strong background in managing people and growing brands through marketing and sales.
I combine creativity with strategy.

What sets me apart is my ability to blend design, leadership, and sales.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Absolutely. Building my own magazine has required taking significant risks — both financially and personally. It demands long hours, constant problem-solving, and stepping far outside my comfort zone.

But I believe deeply in the project and in the continued growth of the pet industry. Taking those risks has strengthened my resilience, sharpened my business skills, and pushed me to grow as a leader. For me, growth has always come from betting on myself and committing fully to the vision.
