Hi Lourdes, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Born and raised in Miami, I bring a lifetime of local knowledge and over 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry to my work. As a seasoned professional in the Florida market, I have excelled as both a loan processor and loan originator, specializing in residential and commercial financing.

My deep roots in the community, combined with a strong understanding of the local real estate landscape, enable me to provide clients with tailored solutions that meet their unique needs. Whether helping families secure their dream home or assisting businesses with complex commercial transactions, I am dedicated to delivering seamless, personalized service with integrity and professionalism.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. The mortgage industry is very cyclical — you can have a few great years, and then some really tough ones right behind them. I went through the 2007 financial crisis and, at one point, lost everything. It took time, but I was able to rebuild.

This business is constantly changing. Sometimes it feels like anything that happens — whether it’s in the economy, politics, or the world in general — can impact mortgage rates and people’s confidence about buying a home. It keeps you humble, that’s for sure.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I was born and raised in Miami, and I’ve been in the mortgage industry for over 30 years. I’ve seen every kind of market- from the early days in the 90s to the high-rate environment we’re navigating now, and that experience allows me to structure deals creatively and confidently.
At ABCO Mortgage, we specialize in residential, commercial, jumbo, and 100% financing options. I’m known for solving complex scenarios and finding solutions when others say no.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built in this city. Many of my clients are referrals or repeat families. For me, it’s never just about the loan, it’s about long-term relationships and helping people build wealth the right way.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Every loan is unique, and every borrower’s situation is different. Because of that, I treat my work more like a concierge service. I take the time to listen, and I make sure each client truly understands the process.

I never treat anyone as just a black-and-white guideline. Over the years, I’ve learned to challenge myself and customize each loan to fit the individual needs of the client.
