Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Briscoe.
Hi Stephanie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started yoga because I needed to slow down my mind.
I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child, and as I grew into adulthood, I realized it never really left — my mind was always moving, always thinking, always racing.
Then I found yoga.
Yoga and meditation became my therapy. My grounding. My peace. It helped me focus, breathe, and truly be present in my body.
I remember being at the gym once and seeing a woman practicing by herself. She looked so calm… so relaxed. At the time, I didn’t even know it was yoga. I remember thinking, “Is she doing karate? Kung fu?” 😂
How I got to where I am at today was understanding divine timing. Being consistent and connecting with people with like minded. Surrounding myself with organizations that highly valued wellness and wellbeing of the community. I joined Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce’s,, in Miami, NAWBO in Fort Lauderdale, became a Wellness Advocate for DOTERRA, Beauty Boost Houston and Florida and connected with BE WELL in Texas. I’m truly blessed that looking back where I stared vs now I get a teary because it was not easy , it was challenging being that I’m an African American woman doing yoga and many faces didn’t look like me. Now it has being more diverse in the yoga community I see black and brown faces. Furthermore. I got out of my own way became more vocal for Brisasana’s Yoga and now Brisasana’s Yogalates, . I even gave expanded in making dolls with hemp yoga pants . I am teaching in Florida, Texas and looking soon to do a Yoga Retreat
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
They were obstacles /challenges . As yoga as become more diverse. When I started they weren’t many black or brown faces in the yoga classes I attended but I wanted to learn because yoga definitely called me Now as an African American I teach more teaches of color and all shapes. The other challenges I had I over came them because once I became certified at 305Yoga. I became more aware and mindful of my intentions as a yoga teacher. Furthermore, I overcame those obstacles by being more relatable to the community and found my mento Guru Swami Babajah. He helped though my yoga journey.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Brisasana’s Yoga LLC?

How do you think about luck?
Though my journey Yoga and Meditation . Even expanding into a wellness market. I know it was divine timing. Luck was never utilized because I manifested my ideas, journaled, and took workshops to get me in to expanding my knowledge and business. The times I felt like giving up and there was definitely TIMES! I called on my mentors , did a mental mind check. Invited the true divine to come in to give me clarity. Honestly the “bad luck’ or bad days. Gave me the strength I needed to become who I am today . It helped my brand to expand to look at the big picture. Utilize the markets. ; online classes ppl can download my classes, workshops to help keep your home and yourself more zenful with pure essential oils, networking with companies that partner with Mattel so my brand can be placed at the Barbie Dream Fest and work with Corp accounts that ppl are burnt out and dealing with highly stressful positions.
