Hi Ahuva, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Our family visited the American Dream Mall in New Jersey over Thanksgiving weekend in 2024 and we discovered the adorable plush motorized animal rides there. It was our first time ever seeing this concept at a mall and we decided to bring the idea to Florida. In June 2025 we opened our first kiosk at the Melbourne Square Mall in central Florida and we endeavor to open additional locations as well, G-d Willing.
We called our business Noah’s Riders because we wanted it to be a wholesome and fun activity based on the biblical story of Noah’s Ark. Our theme is a (subconscious) subtle reminder of our core family values.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was a little challenging getting the motorized rides from overseas. It took longer than anticipated due to some new tax laws (tariffs) and other factors that were beyond our control (such as port inspections). Ultimately, we had to push back our grand opening date by about a month or so. But thankfully, the mall was very accommodating and has been a great help to us when we have needed to deviate from our original plans due to unforeseen circumstances or challenges.
It was a humbling reminder that we are not in control, and we have to accept that and surrender. Sometimes in life, we try our best to do things a certain way, but it just doesn’t happen the way we anticipated or hoped, despite all of our planning and good intentions.
Adapting to unforseen circumstances is a very important life skill. They say that people who succeed in life are those who are adaptable to changes.
Looking back, I think having a sense of humor and a light heartedness about these types of situations is important to reduce stress and protect one’s sanity.!

We are open from 3pm to closing on weekdays, all day on weekends, holidays, summer break, and teacher work days and we open at noon on early release Fridays.
How do you think about luck?
Good luck or bad luck sounds like trying to blame some thing external for the outcome.
In our tradition, we believe that people can rise above destiny with personal effort (including prayer)!
Yes, you have to put in the work, and yes it helps to be Blessed from Above, but you have to create the vessel to contain the blessing because G-d likes to stay anonymous so we have to give Him an alibi. So it looks like success came from the work put in but really we recognize that it’s not totally in our control. Success is a blessing that is not guaranteed and can be removed at any moment! So we do our best, try our hardest, pray and trust that G-d will bring us the “luck” or blessing/prosperity and growth, knowing that we are partners in the endeavor and we must make the effort in order to become “lucky” or blessed..
