Hidden Gems: Meet Lyndsi Edgar of eLuminate Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lyndsi Edgar.

Hi Lyndsi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into marketing started with a love for storytelling. While studying Public Relations at Florida State University, I discovered how powerful words could be when used strategically. That passion deepened when I landed an internship at Zimmerman, where I got my first behind-the-scenes look at how a real agency operates—and I was hooked.

Around that same time, I worked for a nonprofit just as Facebook was beginning to take off. I was tasked with building their digital presence from scratch, and it felt like being handed a blank canvas. Watching a brand come to life online was exciting, and I knew I had found my space.

That clarity led me back to Florida State for my master’s degree in Integrated Marketing. Every presentation, every marketing plan, every late-night brainstorm confirmed it—I was exactly where I was meant to be. After graduating, I continued honing my skills at Carnival Cruise Line’s headquarters, then at a digital marketing agency, learning the business from every angle.

Eventually, it all pointed to one next step: building something of my own. Starting my agency wasn’t just a career move—it was the natural evolution of everything I’d been working toward since the beginning.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I started as a young business owner learning everything at once—bringing in clients, keeping them happy, hiring and managing talent, networking, and constantly adapting to a digital landscape that never stops changing. Entrepreneurship asks you to wear every hat, often all in the same day.

There were moments that were challenging, humbling, and even overwhelming, but each one pushed me to learn and grow. I think most entrepreneurs would agree the journey is anything but smooth—but if you think about it, neither are rollercoasters. And yet, that’s exactly what makes the ride so exciting.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We help professional service firms—especially those built on expertise and trust, like law firms and commercial real estate professionals—generate consistent, high-quality leads through our proprietary framework, The eLuminate Effect. After more than 11 years in digital marketing, we discovered that success doesn’t come from chasing trends, but from clarity, consistency, and connection.

The eLuminate Effect is built around three simple phases.

Establish is where everything begins. We identify your ideal client, define what truly sets you apart, and craft messaging that speaks directly to the real problems your audience is trying to solve. This creates clear positioning so the right people instantly recognize that you’re the firm they can trust.

Elevate focuses on visibility and credibility. Because decisions in professional services aren’t impulsive, we help our clients show up consistently across the digital channels that matter most with authority-building, problem-focused content. Over time, you become familiar, credible, and top of mind.

Expand turns interest into action. We capture leads through value-driven resources and stay connected through thoughtful follow-up and retargeting until prospects are ready to hire or refer.

What sets us apart is our focus on building systems, not one-off campaigns. Brand-wise, I’m most proud that we bring clarity and confidence to firms whose reputations matter. We don’t just help experts get seen—we help them get chosen.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate in my life, and I don’t take that lightly. I was born into a family that loved me, encouraged me to work hard, and gave me the confidence to believe in myself. That kind of foundation is a form of luck that shapes everything that comes after it.

I also recognize that I’m naturally wired for grit and perseverance. I don’t give up easily, and in business, that matters more than almost anything. Building a company requires showing up on the hard days, not just the good ones.

Of course, there’s been bad luck along the way too—but that’s part of life. Every setback has been an opportunity to learn, adjust, and come back stronger. To me, luck isn’t about avoiding falls; it’s about having the resilience and support system to get back up, understand why you fell, and keep moving forward.
