Hi Iman, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started in the character entertainment industry at 16, so 11 years ago! Working for Party Princess Productions Fort Lauderdale and Miami. I worked my way up to being the location manager and learned how the business ran. I moved to NYC in 2021 and started my own character entertainment business there. It was a new rodeo there due to the different community and transportation dynamics. However, my time at Party Princess Productions gave me the edge I needed to move forward and succeed. Eventually, the branch I worked got in Fort Lauderdale was closed which gave me a reason to open up in my hometown and keep the people I’d worked with growing up in a job. So, we opened the Fort Lauderdale and Miami Party Characters locations. Today, we’re moving forward still! We are moving into enrichment programs for the families that have grown to trust us
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been as smooth as I can ask God for. I think anything too easy isn’t real. I think every obstacle I’ve overcome prepared me for a greater blessing and made me a more capable person
