Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
SPA Laundromat’s story begins in 2022. We were recently involved in a business deal that ended up not work out, and with COVID beginning to be left behind, the lookout was for a business that was both shock-proof and with involvement in community works. Samuel (my dad) and Ariel (me) spent months on the lookout for a laundromat all the way from Marathon Key to Orlando, going to stores one-by-one offering a presentation letter in hopes that someone would be interested to sell. After visiting +300 locations across the south of the state, we encountered a location that had not showed up in any maps or research we had conducted, which is crazy as this laundry has been around 45 years and, luckily, it’s the one we got to transform.
When we first took ownership, the place was a swamp; broken A/C (in mid-August), mosquito swarms, broken machines everywhere and employees fixing them by hitting them with knives, the whole thing was a mess. But after a year of hard work and commitment, the “Wash House” that the neighborhood knew became a premium laundry facility. A complete makeover; newer machines, new colors, different vibe. Our goal is to make a ‘home outside of home’ experience for the user and we strive daily to achieve it for our customers.
Today, SPA Laundromat has become a hub in the community where people not only come for laundry but also to socialize or participate in events we may hold, like the Back To School Backpack Giveaway (August 2025). We have earned the respect of our customers by providing consistent quality service in-store and for pickup and delivery customers alike.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We have definitely had our struggles but we were able to overcome them one by one. When we first started, customers didn’t really trust us; they were used to previous management & other laundromats attitudes which were “screw the customer”, management would never attribute an issue to machine failure, always blame it on the customers. It is crazy to say that we differ from those managements simply by doing the right thing. We would constantly explain to customers logical solutions for their issues and after standing our ground and many many arguments the tensions ceased. We strive always go the extra mile to provide excellent customer service – its not that hard if you and your team care enough about your cause. Don’t believe me? After months and months of tuning and acclimatizing, the respect grew, the arguments subsided, and SPA Laundromat gained more recognition.
We also had to overcome many issues around utility companies with all their signups and delayed response times. Or multiple times having to spend a whole weekend on YouTube trying to fix a washer until we were able to find a group of quality techs who are honorable and trustworthy. The key to success includes building an efficient team around you.

-Pickup & Delivery WDF: WDF stands for Wash-Dry-Fold. We pick up dirty your laundry from your home or preferred pickup spot, wash it at our facility with the best products and according to your specifications, fold it (probably better than you, lol) and pack it before returning it to your doorstep, as fast as the next-day. The pricing is even simpler than processing your clothes; $29.50 per 13-gallon bag full of laundry, thats it. We contemplate an Overfilling Fee just in case your clothes aren’t secured & fastened inside your bag. Drop-off for your laundry is also available and we are more than happy to welcome you in-store, pricing is by the pound (lb) instead though, so check our web out for the current price!
-Self Service Laundry: Your traditional coin laundry, full of washers & dryers, a cozy rest space with a great vibe. Customers can purchase any major laundry product for their wash and enjoy free wifi, snacks & drinks. A wide parking lot allows us to welcome many driving customers at once. We provide wheelchair accommodation as well.
-Commercial Laundry: The same quality of our Pickup and Delivery, made for Businesses. We handle bulk loads of garments such as bed sheets, comforters, towels and more. Strictly following CDC and OSHA guidelines, we proudly serve industries such as hotels, gyms, spas, salons, wellness centers, student housing, AirBnBs and assisted living facilities across South Florida
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory has to be the summers I spent with my friends, life was so simple back then; we would be out playing soccer (fútbol) for hours without getting tired, then going back home to hop online and play some video games with the same people I was just with. We would do this as much as we could before leaving for a family trip. Even though I grew up in Argentina and now being apart from those friends, im happy I still have the relationship no matter the time passed or the distance. The whole thing makes me feel very loved
