Hi Ross, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Rev. Ross Pierre Sr. has not only excelled in what God has deposited in him, but has also raised the bar for vision, leadership, courage, civic responsibility, ecclesiastical intellect, and compassion to unfathomable levels. He matriculated respectively from Florida Memorial College, now University and majored in Exceptional Student Education and minored in Religious Education. His commitment to the principles of Higher Education compelled him to enroll in Northwestern Theological Seminary where he is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Theology and Pastoral Counseling.
Rev. Pierre’s ministerial journey began in 1999 after being licensed in the gospel ministry at the age of 21. He was later ordained in 2001 by the Late, Dr. T. W. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Pastoring has been both a challenging and deeply fulfilling journey. I believe my calling is to serve this generation with purpose and compassion. Greater access to community resources would certainly help make this work less challenging and even more impactful.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I currently work as the assistant to the Pastor at Second Baptist Church. I also work in Social Services at New Horizons. I love what I do because i get to serve God’s people in my secular as well as spiritual occupations. Helping others is my calling so my job is never work. It’s a lifestyle.
What’s next?
My future goals are to continue to, impact people, assist and build families, and to be a part of a greater faith community that builds the entire community.
