Hi Leendah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been that girl who loves to cock and to host my friends and family. One thing that stood out all the time we had guests, was the way I would prepare for the guests arrival, no matter how small or large the quorum was. I would tie bows even where bows did not need to be tied and would meticulously arrange the setting and decor as if there was this grand event about to take place. I was known to be “extra” and the one who took care of everyone and everything.
As the years went by, I became more aware of my gifts and skills and developed an interest to organize events and host guests and family in a more intentional way. This developed into a desire to host for a living and created an avenue to start my Wedding & events Company.
I love what I do and each time I’m creating and producing a client’s event, I come alive and creativity runs wild and on and on in my mind. This year we are stepping up production and expanding our reach to attract clients who love the luxury of well intentioned and meticulously planned weddings and events with the signature touch that gives them their unique experience, that creates memories that stay with them.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing in this world we live in is smooth, especially if you are breathing and have a heart to make an impact and change the world for the better. If you have a vision and a passion to fulfil your dreams, challenges will come. The best part of it is that your journey and ultimate success, far outweighs any challenge that can ever come your way.
A particular struggle I had was that having relocated from the UK to the USA, there were obviously cultural differences and I had to adapt, understand and live within the two different cultures, while also trying to successfully build a business. In the world of weddings and events, with so many moving parts and the hard work it entails, you have to be laser focused and ignore the noise. I have had many seasons of loneliness, uncertainty and wondering if the strong sense of strength and will I have would survive the constant tide of negativity and failure that I have come across, while building my business with everything I’ve got.
My grandmother was a powerful business woman who had both a kind and giving heart and a very strong will that worked so well for her. I’m told I walk in a similar way :). Above all, my trust in God and the confidence and assurance that He has called me to successfully lead couples into their married lives together, has been the foundation of my business. I move with confidence and purpose, knowing that I am doing the right thing with the Power and Wisdom of God guiding me, and with the intention of creating spaces for my couples and clients to have their memorable celebrations, lasting them a lifetime.
