Today we’d like to introduce you to Andre L. Wright.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I entered behavioral healthcare with a background in psychology/sociology, and from the start, I knew my career would be multidisciplinary. I’ve always been drawn to things that offer flexibility, human interaction, and space to bring compassion and creativity into the work I do.
My career began at the Foundation for Independent Living in Coconut Creek, Florida, where I spent 12+ years working with neurodivergent adults in a range of leadership roles. During that time, I also served on a national board with the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), which expanded my perspective beyond direct care to systems-level impact and advocacy.
I later transitioned into the comprehensive diagnostics space, deepening my understanding of brain health, substance abuse, biopsychological assessments, and clinical evaluations. I later carried this knowledge into mental health and eating disorder treatment settings, a season that heightened my awareness of the critical gaps within the behavioral health field—and how organizations can be strategically positioned to meet those needs. Shout-out to J. Flowers and Galen Hope.
Each of these experiences ultimately led me to found ALW Consulting Collective, LLC. Where I take a humanistic approach to business development, helping behavioral health organizations connect more authentically with families in crisis. At the core of my work is a belief that lasting impact is built through community, trust, and authentic connection—which enhances any strategic business strategy.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey into entrepreneurship has been exactly what people warn you about when they say they “made the jump.” The financial hit, long hours with minimal sleep and the endless number of sacrifices. But the most unexpected part has been imposter syndrome. I had never experienced it before, and it’s wild how much pressure we place on ourselves once we step fully into ownership and responsibility.
Sadly, on top of that were challenges I truly could not have prepare for: the loss of a best friend, a sibling shortly after, and our family’s matriarch—all while navigating major home repairs and seemingly endless battles with a our insurance company. It has truly been a season of grief, strain and resilience.
As you know, we’re big fans of ALW Consulting Collective, LLC.. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At ALW Collective, we partner with behavioral health and human-centered organizations to help them grow with purpose, clarity, and impact. We specialize in behavioral healthcare marketing, strategic outreach planning, brand development, curriculum building, content creation, and web development, all tailored to organizations that serve families, clinicians, and systems in crisis.
What sets us apart is our humanistic approach. We don’t simply deliver solutions; we build authentic connections between organizations and the people they exist to help. We believe that meaningful growth doesn’t come from “business” tactics alone, but from understanding the lived experiences of those in crisis and translating that understanding into strategy that feels both human and effective.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how we’ve positioned ourselves as partners rather than vendors—organizations come to us not just for expertise, but for guidance that honors both their mission, vision and the families they serve. We’re known for bringing clarity, compassionate communication, and tailored metrics that elevate brand visibility while deepening engagement with key communities.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Trust yourself—Period.
Belief in yourself is a game-changer. Know your worth, trust the experiences that got you to this point, and use them to build something meaningful.
Also, be intentional about the people you keep around you. Surround yourself with good humans who speak life, offer solutions, and challenge you. People who bring consistent negativity and bad news will drain you, which shifts your mindset and mindset. Protect your gift and your energy.
Lastly, network with a purpose. Build quality connections, follow up, and always stay visible. Your name has a way of being mentioned in rooms you’ve never stepped into, so stay connected!
