Hi Neela , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started as a Travel Agent with a host agency, not thinking of how well it can turn out to be. I never realized that this was my passion until now. I have to say, I love it and have so much fun planning travel for others. After doing so well with the host agency, I decided to join as a Franchise Owner with Cruise Planners. It was the best decision I have made. The possibilities are endless! I have built my clientele from top to bottom and my business grew with all the hard work I put into it.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a smooth road. Struggles? I’d say the only struggle is finding the clientele. You have to put work into it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I”m a full-time mom, wife and business professional. I specialize in cruises, all-inclusives, resorts, hotels, you name it, I can book it! I’m proud of myself for taking this leap and turning my side business into something even bigger. My family had so much faith in me. Without their support, this would not have been possible. As a travel agent, I listen to my clients and I’m available at all times for any questions they may have. I think that’s what they are most appreciative of.
What matters most to you? Why?
My family matters most to me. I am a family-oriented individual. I believe family is important. Staying close to family and friends makes life even merrier. You need to have a social life. Get outdoors, eat good food and spend time with those that make you laugh!
