Hi Douglas, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey into entrepreneurship didn’t start with a big investment or a perfect plan, it started with family support, curiosity and resilience. And mainly, with the decision of making the best with what I had.
I was always interested in the carpet and upholstery cleaning industry, but at the time, I really didn’t have the financial resources to invest in equipment, not even the most basic ones. One day, while driving through where I lived, I noticed a carpet and upholstery cleaning machine next to the trash. I stopped to take a closer look, and the guy who had discarded it said: “I made good money with this, but it broke, and I’m leaving the business.”
I decided to take it home, thinking of repairing it rather than buying a new one. To my surprise, when I tested the machine, it worked perfectly. That moment changed everything, and I saw it as an opportunity to really invest in the field.
I made a clear decision from day one: to always give my best, work ethically, price my services fairly, and treat every client’s home with respect.
Of course, that machine is no longer part of our operation. Today, we work exclusively with top-of-the-market equipment, premium products, and the best tools available, ensuring the highest level of quality and care in every service we provide.
Growth didn’t happen overnight, but gradually, through consistency, learning, and a strong focus on quality.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are many upholstery and carpet cleaning companies that have been in the market for years, so building trust and making Ez AllClean known was definitely a challenge, especially without much capital to spend on equipment or advertising.
In business, trust is everything, especially when you’re working inside people’s homes and commercial spaces, even more so after the pandemic.
Early on, I focused on mastering the technical side of the work while also learning how to communicate clearly, and deliver results. Every job, client, and review matters.

Ez AllClean has been providing professional cleaning services for carpets, upholstery, and mattresses to Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties since 2017.
What truly sets us apart is our attention to detail and commitment to quality, even when the job is challenging.
As the business became more established, that approach paid off. Today, Ez AllClean has close to 500 Google reviews, all 5 stars, along with consistent 5-star ratings across major service platforms such as Thumbtack, Yelp, and Nextdoor.
With that foundation in place, we made a strategic decision to focus on premium residential and commercial clients, operating as a boutique service company.
Our priority is not volume, but long-term relationships, personalized service, and maintaining a high standard of excellence on every job.
How do you think about happiness?
What truly makes me happy is knowing that I have built something from scratch, with honesty and purpose. Every satisfied client, every spontaneous referral, and every five-star review represent trust, and that means everything to me. Knowing that my work improves the spaces where people live and work is what motivates me every day.
