Conversations with Suzana Bengayev

Today we’d like to introduce you to Suzana Bengayev.

Hi Suzana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We are 2 partners – Suzana and Nadav. We come from similar yet very different backgrounds, and our story really starts with a long-standing friendship. We have been friends since the age of 13, and over the years we each invested deeply in our own education and careers before eventually coming back together.

Nadav has over a decade of experience in the beauty and skincare industry, where he specialized in sales and trained teams around the world. Suzana earned her business degree in San Francisco, focusing on marketing and operations, with a background rooted in sports, wellness, and structured business management.

Before opening ISHA, we worked together as a highly successful sales team, consistently generating strong results and revenue. Through that experience, we realized we shared a deep passion for beauty and wellness—and a clear vision of how we wanted to do it differently.

We opened our first ISHA location in Coral Gables, and one year later expanded to a second location in Miami. What brought us to where we are today is a strong balance between structure and care: on the business side, we built clear systems and invested heavily in team training; on the client side, we focus on education and guidance. Many of our clients come in with little to no knowledge about skincare or body treatments, and we walk them through a personalized, results-driven journey over time.

At ISHA, education, consistency, and execution are at the core of everything we do and that philosophy has shaped both our growth and our community.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely wasn’t a completely smooth road. The beauty and wellness industry is extremely competitive, and we quickly learned that being “good” isn’t enough—you have to be intentional, informed, and consistently better than what’s already out there. Early on, one of our biggest challenges was truly understanding what set us apart and where the industry was falling short. That clarity didn’t happen overnight, but the process of trial, learning, and refining ultimately made us stronger.

On a personal level, another major challenge was stepping into the role of business owners for the first time. We had both worked for others before, but building something of our own required a completely different mindset. We had to learn how to create systems from the ground up, make difficult decisions, and grow not just professionally, but personally.

Those challenges pushed us to develop structure, resilience, and a strong culture of constructive feedback—both within ourselves and our team. Looking back, the bumps along the way were essential. They shaped how we operate today and helped us build a business that is both thoughtful and sustainable.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Nadav brings over a decade of international experience in the beauty and skincare industry, with a strong focus on sales and sales training around the world . At ISHA, he leads treatment protocols, esthetician training, logistics, and supply chain operations. A natural people person and exceptional networker, Nadav is also an artist and singer whose creativity, optimism, and global perspective shaped by traveling to over 50 countries set him apart.

Suzana’s background blends wellness, performance, and business strategy. She began in sports and wellness before earning her business degree in San Francisco, specializing in marketing and operations. A professional dancer who has taught internationally, Suzana brings discipline, consistency, and creativity into her role leading branding, marketing, and operations at ISHA, guided by a strong passion for wellness and healthy living.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
We both gravitate toward content that focuses on growth, awareness, and consistency. Podcasts have been especially influential for us. Inspirational voices that speak about mindset, self-awareness, discipline, and intentional living have helped shape how we approach both business and life.

podcasts like Jay Shetty have been particularly impactful—offering perspective on mindfulness, consistency, and emotional awareness, which translate directly into leadership and decision-making. Overall, we value content that encourages reflection, clarity, and personal responsibility, as those principles guide how we build our team and our business.
