Today we’d like to introduce you to Mick And Tiffany Lowry.
Hi Mick and Tiffany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We began our photography journey in 2014, shortly after our oldest son turned one. While planning his birthday, we wanted to invest in a real camera—we didn’t want to look back decades later and see nothing but blurry, low-quality cell phone photos.
So we headed to Best Buy, picked up our first camera, and we’ve been shooting ever since.
Over the years, our work has taken us from major events like the BET Awards and the Carolina Panthers to opening our own professional headshot studio in Uptown Charlotte. Our studio specializes in corporate headshots, and we also welcome other creatives through studio rentals and podcasting opportunities.
Outside the studio, we continue to photograph portraits, weddings, and events—because we truly love capturing meaningful moments.
Photography has always been a shared passion for both Tiffany and me, and we’re committed to helping people look and feel their best in every session.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. One of my biggest pet peeves is when you can’t plan for stuff that goes wrong — and something always goes wrong. You just never know what.
But because of our experience, we’re able to pivot, adjust, and still get it done.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Mick – I have a Bachelor’s in Mass Communication and two Master’s degrees—one in HR Management and one in Management & Leadership.
I spent over 15 years in financial services, working my way into management and eventually transitioning into project management within HR. I was laid off in February 2024 and rehired as a contractor in May 2025. That contract wrapped up in October 2025.
After that, I moved into full-time entrepreneurship. On February 16th, 2026, our Headshot Studio will officially open in Three Wells Fargo (Uptown Charlotte), Suite #145 — 401 S. Tryon St., Charlotte, NC 28202. The studio is open to the public and dedicated to helping everyone elevate their headshot.
Tiffany – I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s in Organizational Management and Human Resource Management. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, I have spent the majority of my career within finance and treasury functions.
Driven by a passion for developing young professionals, I currently serve as an Early Careers Program Manager within Human Resources. In this role, I have had the privilege of supporting and shaping talent across several disciplines, including Audit, Finance, and Global Payments & Liquidity.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
For us, it’s simple: we care about the final product and we want people to feel comfortable. We focus on earning their trust, giving them confidence, and making sure they leave feeling like they got more than they paid for. That’s how they know they made the right choice booking with us.
