We recently had the chance to connect with Goddess Phresh and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Goddess, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I’m being called into a deeper walk with Christ and a truly intimate relationship with God. It’s about learning God, learning myself, and honoring the divine presence within me. This is something I may have once approached with hesitation, but now I step into it with clarity, faith, and trust.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Annmarie Andaluz, and I’m the founder of PH PhreshBox Holistic Spa, a holistic waxing and wellness brand rooted in care, consistency, and community. What makes my work special is that it extends far beyond waxing. I often joke that I’m part waxer, part therapist. Over the years, I’ve built deeply personal relationships with my clients. I wax grandmothers, mothers, daughters, husbands, and wives, and in many ways, I’ve become woven into the family stories of the people I serve.
At PhreshBox, I work with a patented formula that prioritizes skin health and comfort, and everything we offer is grounded in intention, education, and trust. Alongside services, I host a workshop series focused on empowerment, finances, and personal growth, creating space for real conversations and meaningful growth.
After seven years of building, we recently expanded from three separate small suites into one unified 1,000-square-foot space — a milestone that reflects the heart of the brand: togetherness, alignment, and elevation. This season feels grounded, expansive, and deeply aligned with both my purpose and my community.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that felt responsible for carrying everything alone while also playing small to avoid being misunderstood. That version of me served its purpose during a season of growth, but I’m now learning that expansion doesn’t require overextension. I’m stepping forward with clearer boundaries, deeper trust, and confidence in my calling.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me the meaning of passion in its truest form. The root of the word passion is passio, which means to suffer. Success can reward you, but suffering reveals what you’re actually willing to endure for. Through hardship, I discovered what I love enough to keep choosing even when it’s uncomfortable, uncertain, or unseen.
That’s where my resilience was formed, it’s not from ease, but from devotion. Suffering taught me commitment, creativity, and faith in motion. It showed me that purpose isn’t found in avoiding pain, but in choosing what’s worth it.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is real and rooted in authenticity. At the same time, I believe in discretion — not everything needs to be shared to be genuine. I honor the sacredness of self-care, solitude, and doing the inner work away from an audience. Growth doesn’t need to be displayed to be valid; the most meaningful progress often happens in quiet, intentional moments that are just for me.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
If I laid down my name, my roles, and all my possessions, what would remain is unconditional love — the pure, quiet essence of me. It took time, unlearning, and heartbreaks to arrive here, but through it all, I’ve found true peace in knowing who I am.
This love doesn’t cling to titles, things, or recognition; it simply flows through every thought, every action, and every moment of being. And just because it’s unconditional doesn’t mean it’s naive, it has clear boundaries and knows its worth.
