Today we’d like to introduce you to Norman Levitan.
Hi Norman, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Florida, South Carolina and Arizona. I began my journey back in the 90s when I decided I wanted to help families, specifically children with having an outlet to discuss their experiences and journeys in order to navigate the crazy world we live in. After graduate school I worked for several years working for the County of Los Angeles, until things shifted and I was forced into taking a hiatus and chose a different path for a period of time to manage my own life. In 2019, after a long break, I decided to pursue licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist, which initiated this path that I am currently own. In 2022 I finally accomplished my goal and passed the Florida State Licensing Exam and earned the remaining hours I needed in order to fulfill the State requirements for licensure. Since then, I have worked with multiple agencies seeing clients, until March of 2025 when I decided to step out on my own to be an independent contractor and work in private practice. Today I mostly work with adults and couples both online and in-person. I love what I do and I especially love knowing that I am able to make a difference in peoples’ lives.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are always challenges but I have learned to face them head on and when need be ask for help from my colleagues. There is nothing I can’t do and if I don’t have an answer someone always does.

Healing and change comes from a place of authenticity. Authenticity allows us to live in alignment. When we aren’t being authentic, we are sending the wrong message. We aren’t able to go deep because we are protecting ourselves from negative feedback and criticism.
I’ll encourage you to be REAL, while empowering you to be FREE. Like you’ve finally broken the mold, and truly connected with WHO YOU ARE.
It is all a journey and my role is to assist those who are having trouble with the navigation. I am at my best when I am helping people with overcoming obstacles, identifying their strengths and recommending how to strategically and passionately utilize them to their greatest potential.
