Daily Inspiration: Meet Jacquelyn Elliott

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacquelyn Elliott.

Hi Jacquelyn, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always had a passion for writing so when I graduated from Florida Atlantic University I was on the lookout for a position that would help me turn my passion into a career. I was super excited when I came across the Marketing Associate position at Kai Branding. I just recently hit the three year mark working at Kai and have made my way into the Marketing Manager position. It’s been such a fun and rewarding experience to grow my skills and passion while helping businesses succeed through our marketing efforts.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As many people know, social media apps are constantly updating their layouts and algorithms. Some updates we want and some updates we never asked for. Digital marketing is a field where I am constantly learning and adapting. While some might see this as a struggle, and some days it can be frustrating, it also keeps the job interesting and keeps that rewarding feeling going when I am able to adapt and learn how to keep a business at the forefront of people’s minds no matter what social media throws my way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I help clients boost the digital presence of their businesses. In this day and age, having an online presence is everything. Through writing website copy and blogs that are ‘Search Engine Optimized’ I am able to help clients appear higher in Google searches when people are searching for their services. I create social media posts like Instagram Posts and Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and more to boost social media presence and reach a wider audience who might be looking for our client’s services. It is a very rewarding feeling to watch the DMs come in to our clients asking for services and or how to get started. I love to hear from client’s that they are receiving new leads from their website. It makes everything I do all the more exciting. I think when you are running a business it can be hard to balance your industry with marketing efforts so I am happy to be able to take that off people’s plates so they can focus on their passion and I can tap into mine.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Anyone ‘chronically online’ knows social media trends are always changing and we couldn’t even begin to guess what the next popular sound or trend is going to be. I predict influencer marketing will overtake many other forms marketing, as it already has started to. I also think many industries can see the advancements of AI changing how things work right now. AI is a great tool that makes a lot of things easier but the human touch in marketing is essential. I picture AI helping us in many aspects but when it comes to marketing, we are trying to tap into the human emotions, fix pain points, and sometimes even reach people’s impulsive side, and I’m not sure AI can fully do that…yet. I’m excited to see future advancements and how the marketing industry is shaped in the next 5-10 years.
