Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Tache.
Hi Beth, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
If you would’ve told me years ago that I’d own a marketing agency, I would’ve laughed. But toward the end of my time at the magazine, I realized I’d basically been doing free marketing for clients on top of selling ads… and at some point I thought, I should probably get paid for this.
But it didn’t start there.
After college, I started in retail. It taught me everything. How to read people, how to sell without being salesy, how to stay calm when someone is losing their mind over something that is absolutely not that serious. Then I became a special education teacher, and I loved it so much I genuinely thought I’d go back one day. Life just had other plans.
I took time off to be a stay-at-home mom, and while I wasn’t working in the traditional sense, I was still in full-on “me mode.” I was a room mom for both boys, a team mom, involved with the PTA, on committees at my temple, running luncheons, organizing things, bringing people together… basically managing projects before I even realized that’s what I was doing. It was a beautiful chapter, but eventually I hit that point where I thought, okay. I’m ready. I need something that’s mine again.
The only problem was I had no clue what that “something” was.
Then life did what it always does. I approached someone who was really well connected in my community, fully expecting him to give me a referral or point me in the direction of a job lead. Instead, he looked at me and said, “Why don’t you come work for me?”
I said, “What do you do?”
He replied, “I own a magazine.”
I asked, “What would I do?”
He said, “You’ll sell ads.”
And in my head I’m thinking, perfect. Just go sell ads… something I’ve never done in my life.
So I told him, “I’ve never sold ads.”
And he said, “Don’t worry. I’ll teach you.”
That was it. He gave me an opportunity, and he became my boss, my mentor, and genuinely, a friend. Looking back, that one conversation changed everything.
Because once I started meeting business owners, I couldn’t just sell them an ad and disappear. I’d sit with them, learn their story, and immediately start thinking, “Wait… why aren’t more people hearing about you?” I was networking constantly, attending events, connecting people, and genuinely caring about whether their business did well.
And here’s the funny part.
On calls, prospective clients would ask, “Are you the owner of the magazine?”
And I’d laugh and say, “No.”
But inside, I’ll admit, I loved that they even thought it was possible.
Apparently, the way I carried myself made people assume I owned it. I think it was the confidence mixed with the “I’ll figure it out” energy. Or maybe it was the fact that I treated everyone like they mattered, whether they were spending $200 or $20,000. Either way, I kept hearing it over and over.
And honestly, that got me thinking.
I realized something. I wasn’t built to just sell ads. I was built to help people. Now I do it through marketing. And honestly, sometimes it probably looked like I cared more about their business than they did. Not in a judgmental way, just in a “give me the keys, I’ll help you drive this thing forward” kind of way.
If a client bought an ad, I’d think, “Cool, but what are we doing to actually get people in your door?” So I started organizing events inside their businesses. I’d help promote it. I’d post on social media. I’d bring the right people together. I’d show up early, stay late, and make sure it felt like something worth attending.
Somewhere along the way, I became the marketing person… not the “ad sales” person.
And during those years with the magazine, I wasn’t just showing up to networking events. I was deeply involved in the community too. I served on committees, several boards, including the YMCA and FISP, and most recently the Sheriff’s Foundation of Broward County. Those experience shaped me, because I got to see what real community impact looks like behind the scenes, and it made me even more passionate about using my skills to help people, not just sell things.
Attending social events and charity events, showed me that exposure matters. Not because I was trying to be seen, but because I was genuinely involved and invested. I love community. I love connecting people. I love being the person who says, “Wait, you two need to meet.” And before I knew it, people didn’t just recognize me… they trusted me.
And that’s when it hit me.
People already thought I owned the magazine… and I didn’t.
But what if I owned something that was actually mine?
At the end of 2022, I took a leap of faith and started my own boutique agency. The name changed along the way, but the heart of the business never did. Today it’s Bloom Social & Co., and it finally feels like it fits. It’s modern, trendy, and way less traditional than my former name, which is exactly the vibe I bring and the kind of brands I love working with. Since this is a recent evolution, the website is still in the works.
Now I’m fully focused on social media and events, because that’s where I’ve watched brands grow the fastest and build real community. Social isn’t just pretty posts. It’s connection. It’s visibility. It’s trust. It’s brand energy. It’s your digital first impression. And events bring it to life in person, turning attention into relationships and relationships into loyal customers.
And that community piece is actually what led to one of the things I’m most proud of. The South Florida Mental Wellness Summit & Expo didn’t come out of nowhere. It grew out of an event I co-founded, and over time it became clear there was a bigger need and a bigger opportunity to create something even more impactful. So I helped build it into what it is today, a grassroots event focused on mental wellness, real resources, and real connection. It started small and it’s grown into something that brings together speakers, sponsors, vendors, and the community in a really powerful way.
Most recently, I officially launched my nonprofit, Bloom Connect Project Inc., to give that mission a real home and help support community-driven initiatives long term. It’s new, but it’s something I’ve been building toward for a while.
When I look back, the path makes sense, even though it didn’t feel that way while I was living it.
Retail taught me people.
Teaching taught me patience and purpose.
Motherhood taught me grit and time management.
The magazine taught me business.
And marketing became the place where all of it came together.
I didn’t start this company because I had some perfect master plan.
I started it because I kept showing up, kept learning, kept helping people, and eventually realized…
I was already doing the thing.
I just made it official.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not smooth. One of the biggest challenges was honestly the name, because it was tied to identity and direction. The first name felt a little too creative, and my family definitely chimed in on that. Then I was advised to use my name, which made sense on paper, but the vibe just didn’t feel like me. It took time to realize I wasn’t just picking a name, I was building a brand that had to match who I am and how I show up. Bloom Social & Co. is the first name that truly feels aligned with my style, my energy, and the direction I’m going now.
Another big challenge has been building a team. I’m a natural “I’ll just handle it” person, so learning how to delegate, trust people with my clients, and create systems instead of doing everything myself has been a real growth curve. Finding the right people and the right structure hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Bloom Social & Co. is a boutique social media and events agency. In simple terms, we help businesses get seen, get talked about, and get more people through the door, both online and in real life.
I’m big on the idea that social media is basically your first impression now. It’s where people go before they call you, book you, walk in, or refer you. And events are where the magic happens in person, where relationships turn into real trust and real customers. So we focus on both.
What we’re known for is making it feel easy for business owners who are already doing a million things. We help with the strategy, the content, the posting, the engagement, the planning, the promotion, all of it. And we’re not doing generic “post three times a week and hope for the best.” Everything is intentional. We want your social to actually sound like you, look like you, and attract the right people.
And honestly, what sets us apart is that we care a lot. Like… probably too much sometimes. I’m not the agency owner who disappears after the contract is signed. I’m hands on, I’m involved, and I treat my clients’ businesses like they’re personal. I also love connecting people, so a lot of times I’m not just running your marketing, I’m bringing you ideas, partnerships, event concepts, introductions, and opportunities you wouldn’t have found on your own.
Brand wise, I’m most proud that Bloom Social & Co. finally feels like the “me” version of my business. It matches my personality, my style, and where the agency is headed. It’s modern, fun, and still professional, which is exactly how I like to show up.
What I want your readers to know is this. We’re not here to sell you on going viral. We’re here to help you build something real. If you’re a business owner who’s amazing at what you do but needs help showing it to the world in a consistent, confident way, that’s where we come in.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
South Florida has always been home for me. I’m a native Floridian, born and raised right here. I went to school in Gainesville, Go Gators, and I love to travel, but South Florida has always been the place I come back to and call home. I’ve built my life here, raised my family here, and now I’m building my business here too.
Yes, it’s hot year round, and I’ll be honest, I’d love a little more of the seasons. But I wake up every day, open my blinds, look at the sky and genuinely think, “Wow, what a beautiful day.” I’m a sunshine person, but always with sunscreen.
What I love most is the connection. South Florida is all about relationships. In fact, it’s not about who you know, it’s about who knows you. You’re constantly running into people you know, and that’s not just socially, it’s business too. Showing up matters here. Community matters here. And as someone who’s always been a connector, it’s the perfect place for me.
What I don’t love is the traffic. If I don’t have to travel far, I won’t. And the funny part is I’m always the driver. Living here my whole life, I still get lost even with GPS, and once I get there, I can’t park. haha So yes, I love South Florida… I just prefer it close to my zip code.
