Today we’d like to introduce you to Roger Jung.
Hi Roger, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I worked as a Software Sales Rep for Oracle for over 4 years (2000-2004). In 2004 I start to suffer from panic attacks. I left a high paying corporate job and my doctor suggested that I work in something a little stressful. So I got a job with paving company in Delray Beach. I worked there from 2004 – 2006. In 2006, the real estate market crash and they let me go.
I went to work in a marketing company, purchased a tradeshow in lAS vEGAS… , grew the business from 40K to over 1.5m with a good friend of mine. But in my heart I always wanted to go back to the construction industry…I loved creating something cool..the intrisic reward is amazing..to see a project from concept to reality and the customer satisfaction…something I never had in Software Sales, Marketing or Tradeshow.
In 2020 I sold my shares to my partner and decided to get back into the Paving/Construction industry. I started Simja Pavers and we pride ourselves in personalized attention, good pricing, and quality work.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Born in Brazil – Moved to US in 13. It is tough to move to a different country and not know the language, have friends, etc
I was highly ranked in Tennis…, Florida State Champ 4x. I got a full scholarship in tennis D1 All American.
After College worked for Oracle (Miami, Toronto and Brazil).
