Check Out Jessica Sanchez’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Sanchez.

Hi Jessica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Jessi, and I’ve been in the fitness industry for nearly a decade as a personal trainer, online coach, and fitness instructor. After having my daughter in 2024, I experienced a deep shift in my identity. I found myself craving connection—community, socialization, and spaces where I could truly enjoy life and good vibez with new people.
In 2025, I knew I wanted to build a community of my own. But I asked myself: what would make it different? What would make it stand out?
The answer came naturally. I love to dance. I love wellness and fitness. And I absolutely love Afrobeats. So why not combine all three?
That’s how Body Beats was born—a space that blends fitness, wellness, dance, and Afrobeats to bring people together in a powerful and joyful way. Body Beats is the only Afrobeats fitness event in South Florida, created for people who share a love for movement, music, and community.
Starting wasn’t easy. My daughter was only a few months old, and I was freshly postpartum. I had hesitation, doubt, and plenty of reasons to wait—but I chose to take the leap of faith and start anyway.
Our first event launched in March, and since then, Body Beats has grown exponentially. What began as an idea has become a vibrant, welcoming community of incredible women who come together every month to move their bodies, connect, socialize, and discover amazing wellness brands.
2025 was our introduction year—and 2026 is where we grow even bigger.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. As a new event, we’ve faced our fair share of challenges—securing venues, dealing with last-minute cancellations, sponsors backing out, and navigating events with an unprepared budget. Still, we made it work.
On a personal level, producing these events has meant doing it alongside my husband, with family stepping in to help with setup and breakdown—all while I often have my infant on my hip. It can be challenging, but we always find a way.
We are nothing without our team. Every obstacle has strengthened us, and we embrace the challenges because they are what drive growth.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Professionally, I hold an MBA in Business and have a career in finance. Although Fitness is also a core part of who I am and the foundation of the business I’m building I’m proud to be rooted in both worlds—one grounded in strategy and structure, and the other driven by purpose, impact, and community.

What matters most to you?
God and family.
When I think about my life and how good and gracious God has been to me, I honestly can’t imagine life without Him. He not only wakes me up every morning, but He’s also where I find purpose, strength, and reassurance of who I am and what I’m capable of. It’s truly God over everything.
And second—family. My family is my rock, my support system, and my drive. I have an amazing, supportive husband to build life with, and the most precious daughter who motivates us every single day to give her everything this life has to offer—and then some. For me, it’s simple: God first, family second, and everything else follows.
