An Inspired Chat with Anna Jones of Miami Gardens

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Anna Jones . Check out our conversation below.

Hi Anna , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day look like meditation and prayer. I’ve begun getting into the habit of not looking at my phone first thing in the rising. I then make a cup of herbal tea or a fruit smoothie, take my dog Marley outside and touch grass. It has been a great way to start my day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Peace and love! My name is Kioyko, a name that represents extending love, light, and purpose into the world. I’m a serial entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience in business. I own a residential and commercial cleaning company, Signature Touch Cleaning Service, and I’m also the founder of my wellness brand, Kioyko—which is equally my artist name.

I’m an R&B singer and songwriter originally from Detroit, Michigan, now based in Miami. The Kioyko brand is a reflection of my journey and passion of wellness: over 15 years of living a vegan lifestyle, creating all-natural hand-poured candles, certified herbalist, offering one-on-one wellness and nutrition coaching, and producing vegan cookbooks and herbal wellness guides.

I’m currently preparing to release my very first music project in early 2026. A body of work I am incredibly proud of. January will mark two years of dedicating to this project, and it truly represents some of my best and most intentional work to date. Alongside the music, I’ll also be releasing my womb-healing tea blend in early 2026. This blend is crafted with herbs such as motherwort, red raspberry leaf, and calendula, and is designed to support womb healing, restoration, and feminine wellness. I’m deeply excited to share both of these offerings with the world.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I love this question! A moment that really shaped how I see the world would be traveling to Bali Indonesia in March of 2020. Imagine the world beginning to shut down and you’re planning to travel alone to a country you’d never been to across the world. Not only was this trip very intentional for me as I was on a self healing journey, but the timing was truly eye opening and divine.

I was able to see first hand how the world was reacting to being shut down and how many people had to adjust to being alone or sitting with themselves. As most people were uncomfortable with the change. I found enjoyment in everything slowing down. We all collectively were forced to connect back to ourselves and get back in tune with nature.

Coming back to the states at the end of March when some countries were closing off their boarders and people were being stuck while traveling really changed my perspective immensely. Leaving a country that was soul healing and intentional, that it gave me an incredible amount of motivation to continue living in my purpose and connecting to myself and tribe. Traveling to Indonesia changed me as person in such a great and profound way.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely! Several times at that! Being an entrepreneur and business owner is not for the weak! In fact earlier this year I was going through homelessness, I had experienced mental challenges that I’d never experienced before and I was ready to give up! Give up on my business of 10 years and really throw the towel in.

Instead I found that little light inside of me, and told myself as long as I get better 1% each day and pour into myself 1% each day that I will eventually come back to self! It took a lot of inner work, meditation, solitude, slowing down and faith! Ultimately I kept going and I believe 2026 is going to be one of my best years.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is the real me! In fact It is very important for me to show up authentically in everything that I do! Now of course I keep parts of myself for self and my tribe but the public version of me is indeed the real me.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. How do you know when you’re out of your depth?
When I no longer feel inspired. Other times when the things that I am doing no longer are teaching me. It’s important for me to remain a student to life no matter how much knowledge or experience that I obtain.
